Cold and Flu season officially hit our house last week. Mike was home sick on Wednesday night and then I got a call from school on Friday that Rachel got sick at recess. So far the little ones and I have stayed away from it and we had some nice weather so I was able to air out the house so I am hoping that we are in the clear for this round.
Monday we took Rachel to school and then went to Jazzercise, after Jazz we went to Walmart and then came home for lunch and naps. After we picked Rachel up from school we went to town and picked up Mike and Becca as they took Mike's red car back to town to get fixed. We then drove around and looked at some land and houses on the way home. After the kids went to bed Mike finally got time to hang the rest of the curtains in the basement. We are getting so close to finishing the project and I am hoping to get some pictures on here next week.
Tuesday we took Rachel to school and again made it to Jazzercise, I know 2 in a row. We then came home and after school I ran everyone through the bath quick before we headed to town for the St. Pat's vs. Mullen basketball game. Mike ended up having a meeting so we dropped Alec off at Michelle's before the girls and I went to the game. St. Pat's won and we got to see Brittni McCully play.

Wednesday we took Rachel to school and made Jazzercise for the 3rd day in a row. I know everyone was shocked; after Jazzercise I had to run to the dentist and get a quick x-ray of my teeth in preparation for my surgery in February. After the dentist we took Alec to see Dr. Shawn for his 18 month checkup. He weighed in at 29 lbs, is 34 1/2 inches tall, and has and 18 1/2 inch head. Overall he is doing great. Shawn also looked at Becca's tonsils and sent in for a consult with ENT to get her tonsils taken out. We have not heard from them so we will see what they think later in the year. After the Dr we ran to the shot clinic and got Alec his last shot for a couple years! We then went to lunch with Michelle and Maelissa before coming home for naps. After school we ate supper and went to town for CCD. Due to Mike coming home sick I was not sure who else would get sick so we just watched a movie in the car while Rachel was at CCD instead of visiting Grandma Priest.
Thursday Mike went back to bed and we took Rachel to school. After school it was so nice out we decided to try out the new bike from Santa. Rachel was not having much luck and wrecked into the sticker patch and into the tumble weeds. She decided maybe she is just not cut out to ride bikes and went for a walk in the pasture with Roger. Becca enjoyed riding her bike out of the garage and Alec had fun running around and playing in the water, snow, and dirt.

Friday was Mike's 35th birthday and it was also Lisa's birthday so after dropping off Rachel at school we stopped by the flower shop and got Lisa a plant and some balloon, then started the day with a nice hour of Jazzercise. After class we came home and while Alec napped Becca and I made cupcakes for Mike's birthday. We just got them finished when Alec woke up and the school called for us to come get Rachel. Friday evening we just hung out and took it easy as Mike was just finally starting to feel better and Rachel was just doing okay.

Saturday Rachel was feeling a little better and Mike was not on call so I meet Mom, Cindy, Patsy, Debbie, Nicky, Katie and Sandi in Kearney to go shopping for Sandi's wedding dress. Sandi found a couple dresses that she liked but they were not a cheap as she was hoping for so she is still looking. We had a great day and it was nice to get away for a little while. Mike and the kids just took it easy and played inside as it was too windy to go out. I did get to hobby lobby while in Kearney and got some new artwork for the basement.
Sunday we did not go to church as I was still not sure if any of the rest of us where going to get sick. We staying in and cleaned the house then after naps we went out to try the bikes again. Rachel had a much better day and didn't even fall off her bike. I finally got my new golf clubs out and hit a couple balls, they felt great and I cannot wait to get out on the course with them. The kids and I also took a walk to the mail box while Mike finished installing some mats in the basement. Sunday night the kids took baths and then we all enjoyed Treasure Planet before bed.
