I Did It

I did it, okay we all did. We all survived the weekend with me being gone. This was the first time that I left Alec for more than a couple hours. Everyone did really well. Thank you Grandma Wanda, Grandma Priest, Auntie J, and Mike for holding down the fort while I was in Denver. The girls had a great time and Alec ate and slept great. I will admit that Alec was kind of mad at me last night and would not look or give me a smile until bedtime. He is back to smiling and loving on me this morning so I think he was just warning me to not go away again for awhile. Becca has also wanted to be a baby today and even has asked for a binkie about 10 times. I am so thankful for everyone helping out and I had a great time but was ready to come back home and get some snuggles and kisses from the kids and Mike.
Monday Mike took Rachel to school as Becca, Alec and I left early to go to Omaha with Michelle. Michelle had a Dr appointment and was looking for some company on her trip so the little two and I went along. We had a great time and I even got a couple Christmas presents while we were gone. Lisa was kind enough to run Rachel around. They went on some great adventures. After school Rachel got to go to Jazzercise and participate in class. She even got her own baby weights! Then they went to Sam and Rebekah's school and she got to write on the white board. Mike picked her up that night and she was sleeping by the time I got home around 9. She must have had a busy day.
Tuesday it started to snow in the morning. Rachel and Becca enjoyed playing outside after school. That evening Cyline came out to play while Gwen had a meeting. The neighbors Jeff and Melissa also brought over some Moose meat that they could not fit in the freezer. We have not tried any yet but may have to soon. Wednesday Mike took Rachel to school and the girls again played in the snow after school. Alec decided tummy time is not for him and rolled over from tummy to back a couple times. He even showed off his new skill for Mike that evening.
Thursday Mike again took Rachel to school. After school we went to North Platte and enjoyed lunch at the Pop Corner with our playgroup. We then came home for naps and laundry. That evening the kids went to Troshynski's while Mike and I attended a hospital function. Friday Wanda and Ashlyn came to town around 12 and I took off for Denver with friends around 1.
Friday night we went to a Lee Brice concert and the rest of the weekend we just kind of bummed around Denver eating and enjoying some time with Tammy, Laura, Bill, and Stacey. We got back home Sunday around 6. Mike was on call all weekend and had to work some but did get to watch the game and the kids so that Wanda could get home before dark.
