He is Risen! Those 3 short words is what Easter is really all about. We were reminded of this often over the weekend even though my pictures show the other part of Easter that is seen in the world. The kids are still a little young to understand the true meaning of Easter but thanks to Grandma Wanda Rachel learned a new Easter song this weekend and we were also able to attend Holy Thursday and Easter Sunday services.
The past two weeks have been a whirl wind of adventures. We had a trip to Trenton to take a friend to get a new work truck, school, Jazzercise, Park; I got my hair done and a trip to Mom and Dad's. The kids we good travelers and we had a fun weekend with cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Grandma's and Grandpa, and Great Aunt Patsy. Rachel got to celebrate her birthday Saturday night with a party at Sandi's house. She got lots of presents and loved her money and Play Doh the best but has also used her hair stuff and workbook with colors as well.
Sunday we were not able to come home due to the snow storms between North Platte and O'Neill so we actually spent Rachel's birthday at Sandi's this year. We were unable to see Mike but we did get to talk to him on the phone a couple time. We came home Monday and started the second busy week.
Rachel had her first Dentist appointment on Monday. After the initial shock of not knowing what was going to happen she loved the Dentist and cannot wait to go back. She was cavity free and they told her that she does a really good job brushing her teeth. Tuesday we dyed eggs with Sam and Rebekah. The girls had a great time and Alec got his first taste of Hard Boiled Egg. He was not sure he liked it and made a big mess.
Wednesday we went to Jazzercise and then went to the track meet in Hershey to watch Rebekah high jump. It was cold and windy so we did not stay long. Thursday the kids went and played at Michelle's while I got my nails done and then we had dinner at Margie's before we went to Holy Thursday Mass. I did learn one thing at mass, 7 pm mass when your kids go to bed at 7:30 is a lot of work.
Friday we ran some errand in town and then came home for a nice relaxing day at home. Saturday morning we got up and went to the Ranch. The kids enjoyed playing outside and an Easter Egg hunt. I got a nap and some really good food, Mike got to help Aaron and Pat work in the shop. Overall we all had a great time. Sunday we woke up to find out what the Easter Bunny left and then went to church. After church we went to Troshynski's for lunch. Mike and I brought Becca and Alec homes for naps and then I took the little ones back to town at 5 for an Easter egg Hunt at Lisa's. Everyone had a great time and slept very well last night.
