Busy Time of Year

   As the dog days of summer get closer we seem to be filling our time running around. This week was no exception. So here is the run down and some pictures to go with the stories!
   Monday we stayed home in the morning. I worked out and finally took the time to plant the pumpkins, gourds, and cucumbers we have been growing inside. Monday afternoon I had some errands to run so the kids went to play at Michelle's. Ashlynn got a new swing set and the kids had fun playing outside and running through the sprinkler.
   Tuesday we went to Jazzercise then I worked out in the gardens for a while. Rachel had a t-ball game in Hershey Tuesday night. They won and she had another great night at batting. She is starting to pay more attention on the field and still enjoys playing. 

Alec is finally old enough to play games with the girls.

   Wednesday we had a lazy morning then packed up and went to the school library to get Rachel some new books before heading to Sutherland to swim. We meet a lot of our friends there and Rachel even got to see a couple of kids from her school. We all had a great time and the kids were worn out. Alec was trying to fall asleep on the way home and I told him to stay awake. He said, "I just need to sleep mommy!"

    Thursday Rachel started golf lessons at the country club. It was so hot by 2 in the afternoon that they only worked on putting for 20 minutes. Next week they are going to start at 11:30 so it is not so warm for the little kids. Becca is too young to start so we went swimming instead and then Rachel joined us after lessons. Thursday night Alanna came to play with the kids while I went out to supper with Kate and Stacey and Mike went to dinner with Justin and then went golfing.

   Friday Michelle and Ashlynn came out to visit in the morning then I mowed in the afternoon. I was almost done mowing when the blade belt broke so I showered and headed to town to get a new belt and groceries for the weekend. Mike was done early on Friday and spent the afternoon with the kids. After supper we all sat down and watched a movie. Saturday Wanda came and met us then we all headed to Alma for Tucker and Alec's birthday party. The kids all enjoyed going swimming in Alma's new pool before having supper and cake and ice cream. Sean and Ashylnn were not able to come but we had a great time.

  Sunday we got up and headed back home early so that we could make it in time for Nathan's baseball game at 11. It was warm but we enjoyed watching the game with Aaron, Liza, Sean, Ashlynn, and Pat. We then all enjoyed a late lunch at the country club before rushing home so that I could get Rachel to t-ball practice. Sunday night there were storms coming in so we enjoyed a movie and the kids went to bed early after a full weekend.
