March came in like a Lamb as far as the weekend went and it is trying to go out like a Lion. They are calling for snow and rain on Friday night into Saturday so we will see. Man this month flew by with soccer starting, friends and family visiting, and school stuff. So let's just catch up on March and hopefully I will do better getting weekly updates in April. (I feel like maybe I type that sentence every month and apologize each time I sit down here to write for taking so long!)
March 6-12
The kids didn't have school on Monday so we stayed home. Rachel was not feeling the best so most the day was spent watching movies and playing. It was really windy so we didn't even really get outside much. Tuesday Rachel and Becca both had school. Alec was so excited all day as he was finally going to get his turn to go to school and register. He asked me on the way to school if I thought there would be any other handsome boys at school with him. He is pretty proud when he gets dressed up and does his hair just like dad.

When we got home Tuesday night we were getting Alec's pajamas on and I ripped his name tag. He started crying and said, "How am I going to go to school now? Mrs. Cox will not let me in without my name tag!" Wednesday the girls had school and Alec and I enjoyed meeting Traci at their cabin for some coffee after lunch. Johnna came out after school and Mike and I did some shopping and enjoyed dinner together. I then went to Walmart to get groceries for the weekend. Thursday the girls had school and I worked out at home and then cleaned. Rachel had her first soccer practice on Thursday night and the kids then went to Lisa's to play while I went out for drinks with my girlfriends.

Friday the kids didn't have school because of Spring Break. Alanna came to watch the kids while I went to a funeral in town for a close friend of Marty and Lisa's. The funeral was for Ed Greenwood, his wife works at the front desk at Jazzercise and his daughter was Rachel's first Preschool teacher at McDaid. After the funeral I went to lunch with Traci then came home and stated baking and getting ready for The Pearsall Family to get to town. We had a great night with The Pearsall's and I didn't even remember to take any pictures. Pearsall's left on Saturday around lunch time and the The Raatz family came to town that evening around 5. Kate and I went to church then we came back out to the house and grilled and enjoyed chatting while the kids played. Sunday we played in the morning then went to Kate's house in town and played and helped them with a couple projects. Becca had soccer practice at 2 and after practice we came home and enjoyed a visit from Pat and Wanda before calling it a night.

Tuesday the girls had school and Alec and I stayed home and did laundry and played. Elly came over after school and we played outside and cleaned out the flower beds. My tulips are coming up and everything is starting to look so green outside. Wednesday the girls both had school and I worked out at home. Alec and I enjoyed playing outside in the afternoon. Thursday started off as a good day. It was windy but nice. The girls both had school and then after school Rachel had practice. We were just getting ready to head out the door for soccer when the neighbor called and asked if I had seen the fire yet. I was thinking it was a couple miles away, nope it was just across the road. Lucky for us the wind was blowing south so we were not in danger. After running around the house making phone calls we headed for town. Rebekah meet me at the park to play with Alec while the girls had practice. I came back home and helped the neighbor go get her husband's car as he was on a water truck fighting the fire. The fire ended up burning 4 mile wide and 3/4 north and south. The neighbors did lose any livestock just some fences. Overall the fire only burned grass and crop land. One house was evacuated but the fire fighters were able to keep the fire from burning the house.
Friday Rachel had school and Alec and Becca went to Lisa's while I went to my Dr's appointment. We then went to Walmart and came home. Babs came out and watched the kids that evening while Mike and I went to a Rotary event at the new brewery. Aaron and Ashlyn came to stay with us.

Monday we took Rachel to school then stayed for an assembly put on my Hershey HELP club. They had a cartoon artist talking about being a bully. Becca and Alec loved guessing what he was drawing before he finished. After school Ellie F. came to watch the kids while I got my hair done.

Wednesday the girls had school and Trisha picked them up as she had the day off and was going to pickup Elly and Jace. It was nice to have the whole afternoon to work on house stuff without having to leave at 3 to go get the kids. Thursday we watched Ashlynn all day while Michelle did some packing and moving to their new house. The girls both had school and we took Ashylnn home and played at the park while Rachel had soccer practice.

Friday we took Rachel to school then went to the car dealership to get the oil changed in the Yukon. Alec and Becca were so good while we waited I treated them with a trip to the Children's Museum. We then had lunch with Mike and came home after school and enjoyed spending time together. Saturday the girls both had soccer games at 9 so Mike and I split up and each took turns watching each girl. After soccer the kids went to spend the day and night with Lisa while Mike and I went to Kearney for Kevin Hallam's 40th birthday party. The kids had a great time while we were gone. The girls went to Beauty and The Beast while John and Sam took Alec to Power Rangers. They stayed overnight at Lisa's and enjoyed ice cream for breakfast before church and CCD. Mike and I stayed with Cindy and Kent and then came home around noon on Sunday. I dropped Mike off at his grandma's then went to pick up the kids. We all went back to Grandma Priest's and enjoyed lunch with Mike's mom and aunts before coming home and watching movies.
