Super Bowl Sunday is usually a day that Mike and I are headed off to our winter beach vacation or getting ready to leave soon. Not this year 2021 is taking us in a new direction and although we are missing our beach the warm sun we are looking forward to a ski trip with the kids in a couple weeks and being home to celebrate the Super Bowl with the kids.
Monday January 18 the kids didn't have school as they always have Martin Luther King Jr day off as a teacher in-service day. The kids and I spent the day unpacking and doing laundry. We then made cinnamon rolls and I picked up the potatoes for our baked potato bar next Saturday. That afternoon Mike and the kids played basketball and we finished Big Daddy.
Tuesday I took the kids to school then came home to workout. After my workout and shower I went to town for a massage and then went to visit Grandma Priest and Wanda. After school I picked up a car load of 6th grade girls and took them to basketball before coming home. Rachel's piano was cancelled due to a sick kids. After basketball we all came home and had dinner before the kids went to bed.
Wednesday I took the kids to school then came home and worked out. After my workout I had a coffee phone date with Tammy for her birthday. We enjoyed catching up and just talking without child interruption! I then cleaned out the file cabinet in my office before picking up the kids and heading to CCD. After church we went to town and had dinner with Grandma Priest and Wanda. We enjoyed visiting and pizza. Becca then had basketball practice from 6:30-7:30 so I dropped her off on the way home and Mike stayed in town to pick her up.

Thursday I took the kids to school then went to town for a hair color and cut. This was the last time I got my hair done before my hair dresser Christina has her 4th child. She is taking 12 weeks off so I will have another girl do it in a few weeks and then see Christina when she gets back. Christina has done my hair since I moved here but has also had 2 and almost 3 kids so I have had a few others do it but only while she has been out. After my hair appointment I went to Walmart and then came home to put groceries away before picking up kids. We then came home to make chicken soup before taking Rachel to basketball and Piano. Mike and the little ate dinner while we were gone but Rachel and I enjoyed our chicken soup when we got home. After the kids were in bed I watched the end of the boys SPVA basketball game on the computer.

Friday I took the kids to school and subbed for 1J until 12. I then stayed at the school and worked on HELP club stuff with Jen until school was out. After school the kids and I came home. Mike was on call and Jen and I went to the SPVA girls basketball game vs St. Pat's. Hershey girls won the game and after the game Jen and I went to Applebee's for dinner before coming home. It was a great night out and we both enjoyed spending some time without our kids. Saturday we were home in the morning then Rachel and I left for the McCook basketball tournament at 12. Mike stayed home with the little ones as each player only got 2 tickets so we were not all able to go. Rachel played good and as a team they ended up getting second. They finished playing around 8 and we headed home just in front of the snow.
Sunday I woke up with a sore throat so we all stayed home and watched church and spent the day doing laundry and just hanging out. I did spend some time on the treadmill. That night the kids went to bed at normal time but after they went to bed they called off school due to the snow that was headed our way. The kids all needed the extra sleep and were surprised when I let them sleep in the next day!
