February 8 - February 14

Monday February 8th we had a late start due to the buses needing extra time with all the snow. I subbed for 3R. Rachel had practice after school at the D&N and Mike was able to pick her up when she was done. I came home and made steaks and crushed potatoes for supper.

Tuesday I subbed for Abbott in the library. Rachel stayed home sick with a temp of 100.1 and a sore throat. That night Rachel missed her basketball game and pictures but Becca had a game and did well and also had pictures. Becca had a couple pictures and lost 12-16 but had fun.

Wednesday Rachel still had a sore throat so we took the little to school early so that they could eat breakfast at school then took Rachel to Dr. Murdock to get tested for Covid. The test came back negative and she didn't have a fever so she was able to go back to school. After school we had CCD and all the kids brought their palms from the last years and Father came to Hershey and blessed and burned the palms so that we could use them for our Ash Wednesday service.

Thursday I subbed for Mrs. Nelson in Kindergarten. Rachel went with Demi after school so that she could go to basketball practice. Elly came over and stayed home with Becca while Alec and I went to the St. Pat's basketball games. Mike took Elly home when he got off work and stayed home and enjoyed the evening with the girls.

Friday the kids had school and I came home to catch up on housework. After school Becca went to Josie's to stay the night and Alec, Rachel, and I enjoyed relaxing and staying inside as it was so cold outside and it was starting to snow again. Saturday we were supposed to take Rachel to Broken Bow to play basketball but it was so cold and snowy and the roads were not great so we stayed home. Rachel stayed home with Becca and Alec that night while Mike and I went to Pals for Michelle's birthday party. Sunday Becca woke up not feeling well so the rest of us went to church while she stayed home to rest. Rachel went to spend the night with Sarah since they didn't have school on Monday due to Teacher In-service Day. The kids on Valentine's Day 2021.

February 8 - Tell about your first favorite TV shows. Sesame Street, Mr. Roger's neighborhood, and 321 contact. We got to watch them after school.

February 9 - Tell of a nickname given to you by friends or classmates. Kamo and Kamster

February 10 - How did you get the nickname? Just started calling me those names.

February 11 - Tell about your very first boyfriend. Justin Monahan in Jr. High

February 12 - Tell about the Valentine's Day festivities at you school. We always made Valentine's Day boxes out of cereal boxes or shoe boxes and then gave everyone in our school Valentine's day cards and candy.

February 13 - Tell about a special valentine you once gave. I usually try to get the kids balloons and candy. I give Mike a card.

February 14 - Tell about a special valentine you once received. Grandma Tielke would always give us a box of assorted chocolates. I only liked the caramel ones. Mike at times will get me flowers and then kids balloons but not every year.
