Rachel

Since this blog is mostly about Rachel I will share some of her milestones to date.
Rachel is now 28 lbs and 33 inches tall.
She is starting to be miss independent, which I thought was going to be so nice, I have now realized that it just means that everything takes a little longer to do. She now has to put on her pull-up, underwear, pants, and shoes by herself. The problem: She will only pull up the front of her pants so they will not stay up, which in turn causes her to have a break down, rip her pants off and throw them across the room as she sits and cries. The same goes with her shoes. So I spend the extra time watching patiently as she tries to put everything on then running around the room picking up the stuff that still needs to go on before we can move onto the next task.
Rachel is still working on potty training. (Mommy is still working on potty training) We now only wear pull-ups to bed and when we go out.
Rachel would watch Dora and Diego all day long. She can say, "Dora, Backpack, Boots, and Ahh Man! (for Swiper)" She also says, "Diego and Meawwo(Baby Jaguar)"
She can sign, Eat, More, Sit, Stand, Potty, Play, and Thank you.
She can also say most animal sounds, knows the shapes: Circle, Square, Star, Oval, and Triangle.
She loves to do the actions to "Wheels on the Bus, 5 Little Monkeys, Bringing Home my Baby Bumblebee, and the Itsy Bitsy Spider.
Her favorite activities include coloring, markering, playing hide-n-seek and Ready, Set, Go. She also loves to set the table and knows where everyone sits. We even have a chair at our house that is Beth's and she tells me so almost every night.
She talks non stop all day, I wonder where she gets that from?
We really enjoy our time together most of the time. We have also started swimming on Thursdays. She loves it and does pretty well. She would go down the slide the whole time which is why we can only go if someone else goes with us so that someone can catch her. She can float on her belly with a little assistance and blow bubbles in the water. She loves to be thrown in the air and caught just as she hits the water. I think next week I will take her arm floaties so that we can practice floating with them on so she can swim more by herself.
We are down to 5 month and a week before Mike does orientation at North Platte. Man we have a lot of things to pack and get done by then!
