We Survived Week 1

   We did it. We survived. 1 week down! We had a great first week. We came home on Sunday and spent Sunday night as a family of 4. Then Sandi came to town on Monday and Tuesday. Rachel was really excited to have Sandi in town to play. We took Rebecca to the Dr. on Tuesday for a weight check. She left the hospital weighing 6.3 lbs and by Tuesday she was back up to 6.8 lbs. I think that she will probably gain weight and grow like Rachel, fast. Rebecca eats every 3 - 4 hours. Mostly every 3. So she takes in plenty of milk. While in town we stopped by Mike's office to show Rebecca off to "Daddy's friends" as Rachel calls them.
   Wednesday was the first day I was home with the girls by myself. Everything went well. Rebecca sleeps most of the day so it gives Rachel and I some time together. Thursday was our Anniversary and Great Grandma Priest took on the first babysitting job and watched the girls while Mike and I went out for a quick dinner. It was great to do something without the girls but I was ready to see them after a couple hours. Both girls were asleep when we got back to Grandma's so I think it was a successful night out.
   Friday we ventured out to the Children's museum. Rachel always has a great time and we all came home and napped in the afternoon. Saturday we went to town with Mike and the girls and I went to the park while Mike did rounds at the hospital, then a quick trip to Walmart and Menard's then home for naps. After naps Grandma Wanda came to town to help out. We spent some of the evening outside and then watched part of the Nebraska game before calling it a night.  Sunday morning we got up and attended church then went to lunch with Wanda and Grandma Priest.

   Rachel is such a big girl now and becoming so independent. Makes me happy and sad all at the same time. 

                                     

Rebecca usually has a few hours of awake time every morning. 

Overall we had a busy and exciting first week. I can't wait to take the girls on more adventures.
