Still Busy

What happened this week. Well let me think... Monday and Tuesday we stayed home. Wednesday we went to town to the museum. We all love our Wednesday play dates. Rachel loves playing at the museum and we even meet some new parents and children this week. Thursday we stayed home. Friday we went to Gracie Mae's and meet some more stay at home mom's and new children Rachel's age. She loves going to Gracie Mae's and really likes playing with Lily and Brooklyn, 2 of the girls that we meet for play date every Wednesday.
Friday night Pat and Wanda came and stayed with us. Rachel loves having Granddad come stay. She can get him to play almost any game with her. Her favorite thing to do is dance with granddad. Wanda loves to come and snuggle with Becca which is really nice for me as I get a break from my every night routine.
Saturday Rachel, Becca, and I went to the museum for Many Mocassins. It was some dancer's from the Winnebago tribe. It was an educational show, Rachel really liked the dancing but got bored with the history and talking. After the museum we meet Mike at the mall and did some Christmas shopping. Then it was home for naps and a relaxing evening.
Sunday we went to church then home for naps. Sunday evening we picked up Grandma Priest and meet Auntie J (Mike's Aunt Janice) and some friends at Cody park to take in there Christmas celebration. They had free rides and hot coco and smores. There were a lot of people and Rachel's hands got cold but overall it was a lot of fun.
Rachel has reached some new milestones the last couple of weeks. She can now get dressed mostly by herself, this includes picking out her clothes. She can go to the bathroom by herself, which includes washing her hands. She can also brush her teeth alone. It is so nice to see her becoming more independent but it also kind of makes me sad. Rebecca has also reached some new milestones. She laughed for the first time last Sunday after baptism, and she also found her hands. She loves to suck her hands and even prefers them to her binkie. It is a battle but I am determined not to let her suck her hands. She is very ticklish under her neck. It must be a Simonson thing as Ashlyn and Rachel are both super ticklish in the same spot. The other milestone is sleeping through the night. She slept from 10:30p to 4a on Friday night and then 10p to 5a on Saturday. Then last night she was up again at 2a to eat. I will take the nights I get right now. I can't believe how much both the girls are growing and I am really looking forward to the next couple of months as Becca loves to watch Rachel, and Rachel has finally figured out that Becca can be a lot of fun.
The other night in the bath I told Rachel to stick her tongue out at Becca (I know I will regret this soon). It was so cute to watch Rachel's eyes light up when Becca copied her and stuck her tongue out at Rachel.
This week looks to be just a busy. I will fill you in next week. Now for the pictures.
