Summer or Winter

As Rachel put it this week we had, "A little bit of summer in winter!" What a week we had with the many different types of weather. It felt so good to open the doors and let the fresh air in but it also made it that much harder to deal with the cold weather on Friday.
Monday we watched Bentley and baby Kyler for Cathy. We had a great day and Becca was once again the best little helper. Alec was even trying to make Kyler laugh but was glad that he went home at the end of the day. Thanks to Michelle I was able to leave and go get Rachel from school at noon when they called and said she had a temp of 100. Becca and Bentley played outside most the afternoon and everyone slept good that night.

Tuesday Rachel was still not able to go to school as they are supposed to be fever free for 24 hrs. So we stayed home. Grandma Wanda and Granddad stopped out on their way home from Alma and Becca went home with them. She was so excited to go stay at Grandma's and even did very well for her first time staying without anyone else. Rachel, Alec and I played outside most the afternoon. Alec loves to wear his hat, hopefully he will still like it this summer!
Bubba with his hat!
Alec swinging like the big kids, and this was the look I got when I asked Rachel to smile!
Wednesday after taking Rachel to school Alec and I went to Jazzercise. I was not sure how Alec would do without Becca in the daycare but he didn't even seem to notice. After Jazzercise we went to Walmart, I know you are thinking that must have been nice only having one kids. Wrong Alec still demanded that I carry him most of the time and if I refused to, and strapped him in the cart he just cried, screamed, and threw anything he could get his hands on out of the cart. Oh the joys of a toddler. After Walmart me meet a couple friends at the park. We did not stay long as it was really windy and nap time. Wednesday night Rachel had CCD so Alec and went to visit Grandma Priest.
Thursday we took Rachel to school and then came home and cleaned and did some cooking. Alec was a little lonelier today so we spent a good amount of time playing and cuddling. Thursday evening Brad and Brynn McCully came over to visit while the rest of their family stayed at the college and watched basketball games. Rachel and Brynn had a good time playing and Alec enjoyed taking barbies away from them!
Friday we took Rachel to school and then came home and finished a few things before heading to town to have lunch with Stacy. It was actually nice only having one kid at lunch; I was actually able to talk to Stacy in full sentences without interruption. Alec also had to show off for us. Friday afternoon Aaron brought Becca back and then he and Mike headed to Alma to help Nick with their basement. The kids and I watched a movie and went to bed early.

Saturday we played in the morning and had lunch then Rachel went to cheer camp at Hershey. After we dropped Rachel off we went to North Platte and picked up Pizza for the Super Bowl and then came home and all crawled up in the chair and napped until it was time to get ready for church. The little ones and I meet Lisa and Sam at church. It was just starting to snow and by the time we got done with church it has snowing pretty hard and the roads were getting slick. After church we headed to Hershey to watch Rachel cheer. Hershey lost to Sidney but the cheerleaders did a great job with all the little girls and Rachel had a great time but was ready for bed by the time we got home.

A selfie while we were waiting.
Silly kids!
Sunday we didn't have to get ready for church so we just played and cleaned and got food ready for our Super Bowl party. Mike got home late afternoon and helped me finish up before our party guests arrived. We had a great evening watching football and catching up with friends. What an exciting game with the Patriot's pulling it out for the win at the end.
