June 26 - July 2

Monday Kate and the kids were still here so they went to swimming lessons with us. We stayed a little extra and let them swim and then we came home and played. Rachel and Becca both had games that night so Mom and Ansley came in the afternoon. Dad, Pat, Wanda, and Auntie J also joined us for the games. Since Mom, Dad, and Ansley were staying Kate stayed at Stacy's. Stacy also joined us for part of the games. The girls both did good and enjoyed having a crowd to watch them. After the games we went to Cody Park for some ice cream and rides and then out for supper.

Best Friends!
Tuesday mom and Ansley went to swimming lessons with us and then Becca went home with them for the week. Mom likes to have each of the older kids come stay for a week each summer. With the summer filling up with activities we decided testing Becca out of swimming lessons early and having her go this week would be the best. She had a great last day of swimming lessons, passed and was so excited to go spend the week with grandma. After swimming Rachel, Alec and I went to walmart and then came home for the day.

Wednesday we went to swimming lessons and then came home. We decided to make some 4th of July shirts and since Becca was gone I made hers for her. We used potatoes cut in the shape of stars and paint to design the shirts. They turned out really well and we even managed to get the glow in the dark paint to glow. Elly and her cousin Elsa came over and made some shirts as well. Rachel had her last softball game that night so after the game we went to Pal's to eat and let the kids run around.

So happy to just be with his daddy.
Thursday was the last day of swimming lessons. Rachel passed and Alec didn't even want to get in the pool the last day. He did not pass but had fun until the last couple days. Thursday afternoon we joined some friends at Cody Slides. Alec was so excited to find out he could go down the big slides all by himself. Thanks to the neighbor kids that took him up and showed him how it was done. Rachel stayed the night with Elly.

The Deck is coming along finally!

The garden after the short hail storm

Poor plants but they came out of it just fine.
Friday I did some laundry and packed clothes for the weekend. Alec went to play at Elly's while I ran to Walmart to get food for the weekend. Saturday we had lunch with Mike before leaving town. Mike is on call so he is not able to go to Stuart with us. Saturday we hung out at grandmas in the afternoon and then went to the rodeo. That night Becca and I stayed at Sandi's, Alec stayed at mom and dads, and Rachel stayed at Ansley's.
Running around after the rodeo.

Saturday Sandi had to work so we took Axel with us to Grannies Beach Party. One of our favorite new traditions on the 4th of July. Granny Linda has a party just for kids, moms, and grandmas. We play in the lake, play in the sand, slip n slide, and cook hot dogs and smores over the open fire. The kids all have so much fun. After the beach party we went to Grandma's and showered and rested before the races and fireworks that night.

Happy 4th of July
