Easter "He Is Risen"

March has come to an end and Easter is over. Now if the snow would stop falling and the temperature would rise it would feel like spring. I am getting antsy to get outside and get my yard work started and my garden planned out. We are starting to run out of some of my canned vegetables so I am already reworking my garden layout in my head.
Monday the kids had school and I took Roger to the vet. She looked at the ear and said that he would have to stay the night so she could sedate him and put in a tube. She called that afternoon and said everything went well and that he should be good to come home on Tuesday but she wanted to keep a watch on him and keep him still over night. I ran some errands while I was in town then picked up Alec and came home. I cooked the ribs from the pig we got from Clay and Nicky for dinner. They were some of the best that I have made. I love that my kids get to eat farm fresh foods just like we did growing up!
Tuesday morning I made the kids some pancakes and we used some new pampered chef stencils to make faces on them. I then took the kids to school and ran to Walmart. Dr. Susan called and said Roger was bouncing off the walls and ready to come home. I finished at Walmart and then picked Roger up and brought him home. I had to keep Jessie and him separate for the first couple days so she didn't pull out the tube in his ear. I worked on laundry that afternoon and then after school we played outside. Rachel worked on getting Jessie to sit and drop a ball and then the kids rode their bikes and I went for a walk. We had spaghetti for supper that night.

Wednesday the kids all had school and I came home to do some housework before going back to school to have lunch with the girls. Alec got to celebrate his birthday at school and took ice cream sandwiches to share with his friends. The girls had CCD and we took Grace home after.
Silly Girls at Lunch

Thursday the kids had school and I went to coffee with Daniella and Stephanie. After picking Alec up we went to McDonalds to eat before going to the Methodist church and helping put together popcorn and m&m bags for Dr's Day. After church we went to Lisa's to dye Easter eggs. One of my favorite nights all year is watching the kids dye eggs with Sam and Babs.

Friday the kids didn't have school so we packed bags and the car in the morning then around lunch time we headed to town to deliver Dr. Day popcorn and grab some lunch. We came home finished packing the car and headed to the ranch. The kids had fun playing outside with Sean and Ashlyn Friday evening.
Alec was hiding Granddad's Birthday Present

Saturday we had some breakfast and Mike went to help the guys feed. The kids and I played cards and visited Saturday morning. Rachel spent the night with Ash and they came back over around 9. We packed the car back up, had some lunch, celebrated Granddad's birthday, and had an Easter egg hunt before heading to Stuart. We got to Grandma Kohle's and visited for a while before heading to Nicky and Clay's. Saturday night Nicky and I went to town to help some of her friends "Egg" (put Easter Eggs out) yards for a fundraiser for their softball program. We had a great time but didn't get back to Nicky's until 2:30.

Sunday we got up and got ready for church at 8:30. We then went to Grandma Kohle's for lunch and an Easter Egg hunt before coming home. We had a great weekend and even though North Platte got 8 inches of snow the roads were clear and easy to drive. There was still snow on the grass but a lot of it had melted. The Easter bunny left baskets here for the kids and we had a great weekend seeing family.
