June 10 - June 16

Monday June 10th Mike took Pat and Wanda to the airport on the way to work. I had to take Roger to the vet to have his ear checked again. It was still not cleared up so she put in another dose of antibiotics in hopes of opening the canal more. This year has been so wet that the allergies are sticking around longer. After taking Roger to the vet Alec, Becca and I stopped by Courtney's so the kids could meet Toran and play a little while. We then ran some more errands and came home. I did some laundry and mowed the main yard while Rachel mowed more weeds. That night Cody, Laura, and Zia came in late to spend the night on their way to Omaha.

Rachel was waiting for me to cut out more for her to mow!
Tuesday we got up and had breakfast and got Becca ready for her first dance and gymnastics class. She was so nervous and excited. We then meet Cody, Laura, and Zia at Cody park to play, feed the animals, and have some ice cream. After Becca was done with class Cody and Laura headed to Omaha and we came home and planted more grass seed. That evening I went to the Nebraskland Days Rodeo Queen style show with Cassie. It was a good night and always nice to have a night away with a friend.

Wednesday Becca walked in the Nebraskaland Days kid parade with the North Platte cheerleaders. We also picked up Elly so she could walk with the Miss Nebraska group. Rachel and Alec watched the first part with me then decided to jump in and walk the end with Jake and Stephanie. We then went to lunch with Lisa and Sam before coming home. Maci came over and watched the kids while Mike and I went to the first night of the rodeo.
So bright while we waited.

Thursday we stayed home and did house and yard work. Rachel then had Piano at 4 and we visited with Grandma Priest until it was time to go to dinner and the Rodeo. The kids are liking the Rodeo more and more each year!

Friday morning I went to Hershey to pick up Jensyn and Delcey as Jen had to make an emergency trip to Detroit to go see her mother who suffered a brain bleed. We had a busy day of crafting and playing trying to keep the girls busy. That afternoon we went to town to pick up beef and then met Deon here at the house so the girls could go home. Jen's mom ended up having surgery and stayed a month in Detroit but is home and doing well now. That night Maci came over to babysit again while Mike and I went to the rodeo!

Saturday we got up and ran/walked/biked a 5K with the kids. There was lots of complaining but also lots of laughs. It was such a beautiful morning to be out on the roads. After we got done with our run we got dressed in work clothes and head to the Campbell to fix fence and move a gate. We ended up blowing a pickup tire on the corner right before the pasture. Mike and I got it changed and enjoyed the afternoon with the kids. Alec even learned how to dig post holes and thinks he is pretty good at it. On the way home that evening we blew a tire on the trailer and couldn't get it off so we ended up taking back gravel roads and finally made it home. It was then time to get showered and changed so we could attend the final night of rodeo. Maci again came to babysit.
Family run

Sunday we got up and had a small breakfast before going to Church and Tempura for lunch. We gave Mike his father's day gifts that morning and planned to golf but the weather was not cooperating so instead we went to the movie Aladdin and then came home. Mike and Alec got the tires changed around on the trailer and we were all ready for bed early after the long week.

Happy Father's Day

What a busy week we had. June is always crazy for us with Nebraskaland Days events and just enjoying the summer.
