July 22 - July 28

Monday July 22nd I ran to Walmart in the morning and then ran some errands in town. The kids have really enjoyed staying home and sleeping in the mornings while I run to town. Rachel got invited to go to Demi's to swim and spend the night. She has Piano at 4:30 since we headed to Omaha on Wednesday so we picked her up for Piano and then took her back to Demi's when she was done.
Tuesday we went to North Platte to the library. Becca thinks the public library is so  much better than the school one and enjoyed going to get more books this summer. After the library we picked up Delcey and come home to play. We enjoyed our last day with the puppy as Traci and Mia came to pick her up when they got back from their trip. I worked on laundry and cleaning the office that day as well.
Wednesday we packed in the morning then went to lunch in town with Mike before heading to Omaha. Mike was not able to join us but we had to get to the zoo before the end of the month when our season pass ran out. We stopped out at Village Point mall to see Babs when we got to town. The kids had fun walking around outside and then they were super excited to go to Scheel's and ride the indoor Ferris wheel. I really don't like them so I never even realized that none of the kids have ever been on one. Then we had to ride the escalator up and down and couple times. I don't realize how much we don't get out until days like this and the simple things of riding an escalator totally make their day. After our rides were over we headed to dinner and ice cream with Kevin, Emily, and Harper. Harper and Rachel had a great time and it was so nice to finally get to meet Emily. It is always and good time when I get to see Kevin.
Off on a Mommy and kid adventure

Thursday we got up early and headed to the zoo. The kids had so much fun staying at Babs apartment and are still begging for me to take them back. After breakfast we headed to the zoo. It was the perfect day for the zoo, a little cool and not a lot of people. The kids, Babs, and I spend 5.5 hrs at the zoo just taking it all in. After the zoo we headed to the outlet malls for a little shopping before heading to Kearney to stay. We stopped by Cindy and Kent's house when we got to town and enjoyed seeing Kent's family even if they were all gathered for Verna's funeral.

Friday was Verna's funeral. The kids and I helped take care of Adam and Tessa's triplets in the church basement. After lunch we met up with Melissa so that Alec could got to Tucker's again and Kelcee could come stay with us. Kelcee has been wanting to come stay for so long we finally made it work. We got home around dinner time that night and had a movie night and then everyone was ready for bed. Saturday we got up and played at the house. Bree came over to play and we all went to church that evening. Jensyn then joined us for ice cream and rides at Cody Park. We took Bree home on our way home and Jensyn stayed the night with us.

Sunday we went to town for breakfast with Mike's cousins Chad and Michelle, Dana and kids, Auntie J and Grandma Priest. We then went to River's Edge to swim. After swimming at River's Edge we went to Traci's at the lake and the girls had a great time playing in the lake and seeing Penelope again.

We finished July just as busy as we started and by the time August came around we were ready for school and schedules.
