July 29 - August 4

It seems crazy to sit here on this icy and snowy December day and blog about the end of summer and the beginning of the school year. We had a wonderful Christmas here in North Platte and we were supposed to be at the ranch today but the icy/snow storm kept us in town. So here we go trying to get some weeks caught up!

Monday July 29th we stayed home in the morning then Becca, Kelcee and I went to town to visit Michelle, baby L and Ashlynn. Saturday was the 6 year anniversary of the passing of their twins. It is so crazy to think 6 years have already passed and how fun it would be to see Alec interacting with them. After visiting with Michelle we stopped by Grandma Priest's house. She was excited to see Kelcee and we had a great visit. We then picked up some lunch and headed to Lexington to meet Melissa. Alec and Kelcee both had a great time being away from home but they were also both ready to be back home. That night we grilled pork chops for dinner!
Tuesday I worked on some laundry in the morning then we got ready to go to the dentist. Becca had to go and get a cavity fixed and Alec had to get 4 teeth pulled and a cavity filled. They both ended up having laughing gas. Alec was relaxed but didn't seem to bothered by it all, Becca just couldn't stop laughing so they had to turn hers down a little. After the dentist we went and got shakes and then checked the cows on our way home.

Curtains I made for Rachel's teacher!
Wednesday we stayed home and cleaned out closets and went through the kids clothes for the up coming school year. Thursday we went to town for donuts and then went to Walmart and got school supplies. After lunch the kids all had an eye dr appointment. Everyone made it another year without glasses. We then stopped by Grandma Priest's to say hi to Wanda and Auntie J before Rachel had piano lessons. Wanda picked Rachel up and the little ones and I came home so I could mow.

Friday I ran down and checked cows in the morning then came home and packed clothes before we headed to Stuart for LaVern Olberding prayer service and funeral. The kids hung out at Grandma's house while we went to the prayer service as a family. Saturday we went to the funeral and then spent the day in Stuart playing and hanging out at Grandma's house. We went to church Saturday night before going to mom and dad's to stay.

Becca's turn.
Sunday we told Becca bye as she was staying the week with mom and dad and headed back home. We met Matt in Burwell and picked Tanner up to stay with us. That night Becky, Jameson, Kole, Teresa, Gavin, Skylar, Payton, and Easton came to stay with us.  They all came to town for the annual Jr Ambassador tournament.
