Monday we stayed home. I have declared Monday as laundry day. Don't get me wrong I also have to do a load or two during the week to keep up with the girls. I seem to be a lot more lazy and less motivated on Monday's so I decided why not do laundry. It makes me keep going and getting things done.
Tuesday Rachel had school. Pat, Wanda, and Aaron came to town for the cattle sale. Becca and I did our shopping and then after we picked Rachel up from school we went to Grandma Preist's to visit while we waited for the guys to get done at the sale. We then went to Applebee's for supper. Pat told them it was Mike's birthday. Rachel really enjoyed watching the girls sing for Mike. They said it was his 21st Birthday!
Wednesday the girls and I stayed home. Rachel got up and sang Mike Happy Birthday before he went to work. We spent the morning making birthday cards. I got out the paint so Rachel made lots of pictures. We even had enough to send to all the cousins and Grandma Julie. I still have Grandma Wanda's to send. That evening we went to dinner at the Canteen with the Raatz Family. We also got to see some other friends that just happen to be dinning there the same evening. We came home for ice cream cake and went to bed.
Thursday Rachel woke up with the flu. She only got sick once and was fine by 9 am. I on the other hand spend a good part of the night washing sheets, blankets, and stuffed animals! No school for Rachel on Thursday, but she was feeling better by the afternoon so we went Laura's office to have her draw up some legal papers for us. Now we are just waiting for her to get all the paperwork done and we will finally have a Will done!
Friday was so nice we played outside and put up or Valentine's day decorations. Rachel now thinks everyone should have Valentine's day decorations, so if she comes to your house be ready for her to ask where your are! Saturday we got to play outside again. Rachel and Becca got to swing and ride bikes, then Rachel decorated our whole sidewalk with sidewalk chalk.
Sunday was church, then we did a little shopping before lunch with Grandma Preist and Auntie J. Becca was not feeling well and Mike had some studying to do so we didn't get to stay long but always enjoy our visits. Becca had a fever by the time we got home so we snuggled some and then Mike and I rearranged bedroom and living room furniture. We are supposed to get our new bedroom furniture tomorrow. I can not wait.
Here is to hoping everyone has a great week and fights off all the sickness that is going around. We are trying hard here. I am getting a cold, Becca is still running a temp and Rachel has a cough. We will see what this week brings. Thank you for all the prayers the last couple weeks. Baby Emma is still in Boston recovering from surgery but is out of the hospital. She is just hanging out at the hotel with her mom and dad. They are hoping to come back to Omaha on Thursday. Dillon got released from the hospital yesterday. They made it home and hopefully he will continue to gain strength and not have to go back to the hospital!
Becca loves her beanbag so much sometimes she even naps in it.
