The Simonson's: 2 Months

How can 2 months pass so fast? I know this is a day early but really how was it 2 months ago that we were just getting ready to meet baby Alec for the first time?? What an exciting two months we have already had. We are so blessed to have Alec in our lives. I will start this week with some 2 month updates. We go in on Tuesday for Alec's Dr's appointment so I do not know his height or weight. I will include that next week. What we do know is that he is a smiley little boy just like Rachel was at 2 months. He just starting to laugh and sleep through the night every once in awhile. If he does wake up at night it is just to nurse around 2 or 3 then he either goes back to sleep or goes in his swing until 6 or 7. The boy loves to swing!!! He usually takes a couple naps a day in it and if he is fussy at night he usually just wants to be in his swing without anyone touching him!
Now for the weekly facts! Monday Sandi, Jaxson, and Sam left and I did some laundry and just hung out with the kids. Mike was on call and didn't get home until after bed time for the girls. Tuesday we went to the museum for a snake presentation. Rachel does not like snakes but still wanted to go. She even wore a special necklace to make her brave for the snakes. Sam and Rebekah went with us. Rachel decided she would rather play with Claire than watch the snakes. Becca played some with Hanna and watched the snakes some. After the museum we went out for ice cream and then took Sam and Rebekah home.
Wednesday we hosted play time. Gennilee, Savannah, Mattix, Gabby, Mayme, Claire, Emma, Gwen, and Cyline all came to play. We had hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch and then everyone went home for naps. That night Michelle, Laura, and Stacy came out for girls night and Alec even stayed up until they all left. He then slept until 7 Thursday morning. Thursday we stayed home and cleaned and played. Payne the neighbor boy came over and played with Becca while Mike, Rachel, Alec, and I went to preschool open house. Rachel got to meet some of her classmates and her teacher! She is all ready for school tomorrow.
Friday Lisa, Rebekah, Sam, Rachel, Alec, and I went to Kearney to do some shopping. Cindy and Kent meet us for lunch and then Cindy took Alec to her house for a couple hours while we got our nails done and shopped at the mall. Becca spent the day with Michelle and Cinder. When we got back to town we met , Shawn, Michelle, and Mike at Dave's Place for some supper before coming home for bed. Yesterday Mike was still on call and had a couple of cases in the OR so Michelle came out and played with the kids while I mowed the lawn.Mike got home right when I got done and we enjoyed an evening with the kids.
Today we went to lunch with Grandma Priest then we came home for naps. We are now getting ready to head back to town for outdoor school mass at St. Pat's school. Then we will come home and get to bed as tomorrow starts the first day of school and getting everyone up, fed and out the door by 7:35!
