River City Roundup 2014

Monday we had Dr. appointment for Alec and Becca. Alec is still growing and is now 26.6 lbs, 31 1/2 inches tall and has a head circumference of 48.2 cm. What a big boy we are growing. Becca checked in at 3 years at 32.3 lbs and is 38 3/4 inches tall. She seems so small to us but she is actually 3/4 inch taller than Rachel was at 3 so look out world we have another tall skinny girl on our hands. Becca also got her flu shot while we were at the Dr. Poor girl jumped and they had to stick her twice but only a few tears and Dr. Shawn was in with candy and all was forgotten. After nap we rearranged the basement furniture and spent the evening playing and hanging out. Tuesday we went to Jazzercise and Walmart and then spent then came home and celebrated Becca's birthday with Cake before supper as Mike had a meeting. Rachel got out of school at 1:45 for a teacher in service and we didn't have any presents to open when we did cake because all the kids were up at 6:15 and Rachel could not wait for Becca to open presents so we opened them first thing that morning. Becca got some new clothes and some new Leap Frog DVD's.
Wednesday morning we took Rachel to school and then came home due to the fog. It was not as bad as last week but enough that I didn't think we should try to go to town. After school we ate supper at 5 and then headed to town for CCD. Rachel had a good time at her first CCD class and Mike, Becca, Alec and I enjoyed spending the hour with Grandma Priest. She was cooking apple butter and her house smelled so good. Thursday Mike took Rachel to school so that I could get started on laundry. After school we ran to town and picked up the pack n play from Michelle's and apple from Stacy. We then came home and ate sandwiches before heading to Hershey to watch Payne play football. Alec did really well and liked to stand and clap. Rachel loved spending time with neighbor Melissa and Becca liked when I let them go play at the park.
Friday Rachel had school and we went to Jazzercise. After school I had the car loaded and we headed to Omaha for River City Roundup weekend. We did not make it in time for the rodeo so we just got to the hotel and put the kids to bed. Saturday we got up and got ready for pictures. We had another successful year with pictures. It is so much fun to see how much everyone has changed from year to year. After picture we let some of the kids swim and so of them napped. We all split up and watched the rodeo from different seats but overall I think everyone really enjoyed our weekend.
Sunday we got up and stopped at the outlet malls before coming home. I got some new outfits and Mike got some new dress shirts. The kids enjoyed the outside park at the mall and everyone slept most the way home. What a great weekend.
