Surgery Round 2

A week getting ready and then having surgery; what a week we had! We are now into April and hopefully done with surgeries for this year. Everyone one is doing great. Alec didn't even know anything happened to him and Becca is getting much better. She still likes to use her surgery to get out of eating and going to bed but overall today was a good day and she is getting better.
Monday we took Rachel to school and then went to Jazzercise. The little ones and I then went to Shopko to pick up a fire pit and Walmart for our weekly groceries. I am beginning to think that maybe I should plan ahead and try to shop every other week as Alec still does not like to go to Walmart. We then came home for naps and picked Rachel up from school. It was so nice after school I got the water table out for the kids and they played in the water while I put together the new fire pit. We grilled out for supper and then started the fire pit so the kids could see it before putting everyone to bed.
Tuesday we took Rachel to school and then we came home and I worked out and then got ready to go meet Auntie J and Jullianne at the park. We picked up sandwiches for lunch and had a nice picnic lunch and enjoyed watching the kids play. It was so nice outside and Becca had a blast with JuJu. After the park we came home for quick naps before running to pick up Rachel, then the kids played outside some more before supper and bed time.

Michelle came out early Wednesday morning to watch Alec and get Rachel ready for school while Mike and I took Becca in to have her tonsils and adenoids taken out. Neighbor Melissa took Rachel to school and then spoiled her after school and took her to CCD before bringing her home at bed time. Michelle took Alec to her house and then had fun playing. Alec even snuck into the closet and got Cinder a ball without Michelle telling him where the balls were. Alec and Cinder both have a great time playing ball together. Becca had surgery at 8 am. She did very well with pre-op and only complained when I told her she had to put on a hat to go to the OR. We played around and took some pictures and by the time they were ready to take her back she just waved goodbye and off they went. They told us that she didn't get sad or complain while going to sleep but she woke up really mad. When we went to recovery to see her she was pretty sore and really wanted me to hold her so we took her to post op and I was able to hold her. Mike had some cases to do so Becca and I hung out until she was awake enough to go home. We spent most of the day in the chair rocking. Becca was in quite a bit of pain Wednesday night and Thursday.
All ready to go.
The silly hat she didn't want to wear.
Thursday Mike took Rachel to school and I had a haircut and color at noon so Lisa came out to sit with the kids. Both kids took naps and Becca was okay with me leaving but woke up mad and was pretty sad by the time I got home from picking Rachel up. Mike was off Thursday night so I went to town for Holy Thursday mass and then met up with some friends for drinks. Becca was asleep when I got home but woke up about every 2 hrs Thursday night.
Friday Becca was feeling better so we went to town and dyed Easter Eggs with Lisa, Sam, and Babs. The kids all had a great time, we had pizza for lunch and then it was time to come home for naps. Rachel did not have school on Friday so the little ones slept late and then we ate supper and watched a movie.

Becca had fun helping Lisa.
Alec wanted to do it on his own.

Saturday we got up and ate breakfast then headed to the ranch for the day. It was really windy when we got there but after lunch the wind died down and the kids all had fun finding eggs, flying kites, and riding the horse. Mike enjoyed helping his dad and Aaron with some cattle work while I enjoyed some quite time while the kids played outside. We came home Saturday night at bedtime.

Sunday morning we got up and the Easter Bunny had visited. Rachel woke up with a stiff neck so she didn't find any candy but did manage to find her basket before laying on the couch. We then got ready and went to church with Marty, Lisa and family. After church we ran over to Grandma Priest's for a quick egg hunt and some pictures before going to Marty and Lisa's for lunch. We had a great lunch, some birthday cake for Babs and then the kids found Easter Egg's before coming home for naps. I went for a run while the kids napped and then we had supper and watched Big Hero 6 before putting the kids to bed and enjoying the evening around the fire pit.
