Rain and More Rain

I am really trying hard not to complain about the rain, but this mommy need some sunshine. The rain is wonderful and our trees are loving it and growing amazing but my poor flowers want to see the sun. I would also like for it to be about 70 when it rains so the kids can still go out and play! Okay enough with the complaints here was our week:
Monday we took Rachel to school and then came home and did some laundry and so things around the house. After school Rachel had her first T-Ball practice. Mike stayed home with the little ones while Rachel and I attended practice. Rachel and Becca both had ear aches on Monday, I think it may have been due to all the swimming over the weekend.

Batting practice was next!
Tuesday we took Rachel to school and then went to Jazzercise. There was a new babysitter that has a little boy and a new baby girl, so Becca was so excited to help care for the baby while I worked out. After Jazzercise we came home for naps, then after school we meet Kate, Hanna, and Dutch for ice cream. It was then time to come home eat and take baths before bed.
Wednesday we took Rachel to school then I came home and ran and did more laundry while Becca and Alec played. Becca was up again in the night with a sore ear. Not sure what is going on and Alec is started to get a cold in his eyes so we stayed home. It was also very windy today.
Thursday we took Rachel to school and then came home for a little bit before heading to Ogalalla to watch Nathan compete at District Track. Pat, Wanda, and Aaron also meet us for the track meet. We have not seen Nathan in a while so the kids were kind of shy but they had a great time playing and watching Nathan throw the Discus and Shot! When Nathan was done throwing we headed back to pick up Rachel and then I came home a mowed.

Friday we woke up around 4:30 to a hail storm, luckily the wind did not blow so my strawberries and flowers were all okay. We took Rachel to school and then went to Jazzercise before coming home and eating a quick lunch and showering before heading to school for Rachel's fun day. They were supposed to have Fun Day outside but due to all the rain and the bad weather in the forecast they held it inside. Rachel had a great time and Alec enjoyed helping with the big parachute and Becca not only got to do the parachute but also got to play musical chairs with Rachel's class. Mike went to the ranch on Friday with Nick. While we were in a storm watch all evening Friday and Saturday we only received rain and a little bit of hail.

Saturday Mike was still out of town so we had a lazy morning and then Kate called and invited us to go to the lake with them to look at Camper spots for this weekend. The kids had a great time in the sand and water. Note to self: if you are taking kids to the beach take extra clothes and towels! We had a great afternoon with the Raatz family then came home took baths and joined Lisa at church so we didn't have to rush around on Sunday morning.

Alec was not so sure about the wet sand at first.
Rachel went right into the water first thing.
Becca was excited to get her feet wet as well.
Alec enjoyed digging and playing in the sand on the beach.
Sunday the girls let me sleep in as I was up with Alec early and then he fell asleep in bed with me. Rachel came in and wanted to know if she could make breakfast for her and Becca. I told her sure as long as she didn't make a big mess. Becca came in a little while later to inform me that Rachel was getting them ice cream for breakfast. So the girls had Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Ice Cream for breakfast. I did not have to get out of bed early and they did not make a mess at all. When did Rachel get so big? Mike and Nick got back to town around 11 and I headed to Walmart to get a few thing for the 31 bag party I was hosting from 4-6. Due to the rain and just a busy weekend we just had a few people come out to look at the new things, but overall it was a great party.
