Here we are at the end of another year and another year that seemed to go way to quick. I am also sitting here on this 22 degree day thinking about all the fun things we are going to do this summer! So here we go and I apologize for all the pictures now, but come on its Christmas and Christmas is pictures right!
Monday we went to Jazzercise and ran some errands. Rachel is not a fan of Jazzercise daycare; she thinks it is mostly for babies. Okay there really is not much to do but it is only an hour and this mommy needs her hour of alone time, especially during break with 3 at home all the time.
Tuesday we stayed home and did laundry and started packing of our Christmas trip to Atkinson. Wednesday I spent the morning organizing thing to get ready to leave and then had a dentist appointment at 1. The kids went to Lisa's while I was at the dentist and hoped to be able to come home and do the "Santa" stuff, then pick them up on the way out of town. Mike's schedule however did not go so smooth, so after the dentist I picked up the kids and we came home and waited for Mike to get here. We were finally able to take off around 5 and had a nice trip to Grandma Kohle's. We decided to stay with Grandma and Patsy this year as we were going to spend most of the time in Atkinson and mom and dad do not have room for all of us anymore. It was nice to have the extra time with Grandma and Jerry even stopped up to see us for awhile. Bed time was fun Wednesday night as Becca ended up getting sick and sleeping on the couch and Alec didn't want to sleep with his dad and only wanted his mom. The joys of traveling with kids!
Thursday mom needed some help getting ready for Christmas we headed to mom and dad's after a nice breakfast. We stopped in Atkinson and dropped Rachel off to play with Ansley and picked Kinley up to help at moms. Mike and Alec helped dad feed cows and move some equipment around while us girls helped mom finish decorating and getting food ready for Friday. We headed back to town around 12 and picked up pizza for lunch before getting ready for church. After church we continued our tradition of going to the bar and meeting friends before heading to Nicky and Clay's for supper. We all had a great time and the kids enjoyed opening their ornaments and pajama's before bed!

Friday was Christmas day. The kids were excited to see that Santa left them a little gift at Grandma's and had fun opening a few gifts that they missed out on during Kohle Christmas. Everyone got ready and we headed out to mom and dads. We all enjoyed opening gifts and having lunch together. We have been having Christmas with the same group for as long as I can remember and again this year we felt the absence of a special angel. As our family grows with kids and spouses they will never replace the presence of our grandparents that are no longer with us. We missed you this year and every year, Grandma Davis, Grandpa Kohle, and Grandma Tielke and we had fun reminiscing about the Christmas's we did have with each of you. The kids all had a good time playing and the adults all ate too much food and then went the snow started to fly Mike and I decided we better get on the road. Mike had to be back to round on patients on Saturday. We drove through pretty heavy snow until Bassett and then a few smaller patches on the way home. The kids all traveled well again and we were just getting excited to get home when Becca got sick all over in the car. She was feeling better by the time we got home and we were able to enjoy opening presents after Mike got the car cleaned out! The joys of Children and the Holidays!

Saturday we just relaxed, enjoyed being home and played with all our new toys. The kids were in bed early after the long end of the week and Mike and I enjoyed watching the Husker's play that evening. Okay I didn't make it to the end of the game before falling asleep but I did at least make the 4th quarter.
Sunday morning Wanda came out to the house to see us. Becca and I headed to church and Walmart while everyone else enjoyed the morning at home. Sunday afternoon we went to Marty and Lisa's to celebrate Christmas with them. We got their family Rock Band which we enjoyed playing and once again Lisa and family spoiled all of us with many gifts. The girls love their Elsa hats and Alec loves his "shooters" guns!
