Easter 2016

Easter has come and gone early this year. The flowers tried to come up and bloom for Easter but then the snow covered them up. Our tulips are just getting ready to bloom now so hopefully the overnight temps stay somewhat warm so they don't freeze.
Monday was a big day in Becca's world. She got to go to Rachel's school (Hershey) and register for Preschool. She has been talking about it for a couple weeks and is so excited to go to school with Rachel next year. She will probably be in the afternoon class as they select class time by age, with the older kids going in the afternoon.
Tuesday the girls both had school and Alec and I went to Jazzercise. After picking up Becca from school we went to lunch with Grandma Wanda, Granddad, Auntie J, and Grandma Priest at Perkins. We came home and played outside and enjoyed the last day before it got cold. Tuesday night while Mike was on call we went to Lisa's and dyed eggs. We have been getting together for 3 years now to decorate eggs before Easter!
Ready to get started

Almost done!
Wednesday I had a lot of things planned. I needed to finish up some shopping for Easter and had a lunch meeting at the hospital. With the snow storm coming in I asked the babysitter if she could come out early so that I could get my shopping done before my lunch meeting. Everything was going good and I finished shopping then right when we sat down to eat the school called and said that they were dismissing school at 1 due to the snow. So I did not get to stay for the meeting and by the time I got home and picked up the little ones to go and get Rachel from school the roads were getting really bad. We made it home safe and then spent the rest of the afternoon watching movies and playing. The wind blew so hard that they had to close down the interstate and our windmill broke into a bunch of pieces. Thursday they called off school for Rachel due to the road conditions. Becca still had her Easter party at school so Mike went in a little late and took Becca to school for me. Rachel, Alec and I went in to pick her up at 10 and then by the time we came home the roads were much better. There was a baby shower for Bill, Laura, and Emma Thursday night so Alanna came over and watched the kids. They were so excited to see her again as she has not be available to babysit since fall due to sport and school.
March snow storm!

Crawling works the best for Alec.
Friday Mike had to work and the kids and I packed and got ready to leave town. We got out of town about 4 and headed straight to Mom and Dad's for supper. Nicky, Clay and the kids and Sandi and Aaron all joined us for grilled fish. We had a good time but missed Kristi and family and Katie and family. Saturday morning the Easter Bunny came to Grandma Julie's house. The kids were so excited to hunt for eggs and find their baskets. We enjoyed a late brunch then headed to Grandma Kohle's to have a baby shower for Adam and Tessa and the triplets. After much confusion the last couple weeks we did manage to get most of the cousins, both boys and girls, to attend. We decorated onesies for the babies and then played a fun relay type game before watching Tessa open gifts.

Easter Sunday we went to church and then enjoyed lunch, an Easter egg hunt, and a scavenger hunt at Grandma Kohle's before coming back to North Platte and stopping by Lisa's for another Easter egg hunt and finally making it home. The kids had baskets waiting at home for them and we enjoyed a little time outside trying out the new bats and balls before bed. What a great Easter! It is always good to go home and see the kids with their cousins and family. Alec enjoyed riding in the tractor and getting to go everywhere with Grandpa Bill, Rachel and Becca always have a great time with their cousins!
