Spring Forward

Spring forward is what they say! The days will get longer, yes they will if you have kids! Another daylight savings here and gone. Sunday was not so bad with everyone getting up for church but man was this morning rough. Alec and Becca did not sleep well last night and Rachel did not want to get out of bed. I am sure they will all be ready for bed tonight so that should be good.
Monday Rachel has school and was actually ready to go back. The weekend at Grandma's was so much fun but routine works also! While Rachel was at school we enjoyed the nice weather outside. Alec and Becca wanted to play some basketball and I got the trash taken out and some mulch put down on my flower beds. I also got a chance to run outside today. Then we built the shop all the truck went in through the pasture and made a nice road. I am now able to run that circle while the kids play. 3 laps around the house is a mile. It felt so good to run outside again.

So sad??

Nope just hiding!
Tuesday the girls had school and Alec and I went to Jazzercise. Dee came over after lunch so I could change her dressing on her shoulder and was able to stay long enough to play a board game with the kids. After school we went to town for ice cream with Mike since he had a meeting and would not be home until after bedtime. Michelle and Ashlynn stopped for some ice cream with us. Ashlynn loves watching the kids and the kids love to make her smile.
Wednesday we took Rachel to school then went to Jazzercise and Walmart. The Walmart trip took us about 2 hours but we did make it through without any melt downs so that was a plus. One of the kids' favorite parts of the nice weather is getting to run home after school. Rachel likes to run from the mailbox and the other two get to run from the gate. It is so fun to watch them watch out for each other and race home. Love our country life!

"Mom are you coming?"
Thursday was just a half day for Rachel and she was invited over to a friends for a sleepover. Becca did not have school due to spring break. After dropping Rachel off we went to Jazzercise then came home and I showered quick before going back to school to pick up Rachel and Elly. We then stopped and got lunch before taking Elly and Rachel to Elly's house. We then went to the park for a couple hours and spent the rest of the evening playing outside at home. I love that the kids love playing outside.

Rachel was at a sleepover so we just stayed home Friday morning and cleaned. We picked Rachel up after lunch and then came home to get ready for our dinner party. The Raatz family and Stacy came out for supper. I grilled fish and Kate and Stacy brought veggies and salads. It is always so much fun getting together with friends. The kids enjoyed playing outside and watching a movie before it was time for everyone to leave.
Saturday Mike was on call and had to go into the office. The kids and I just stayed home and cleaned and enjoyed out time together. The girls were fighting so they couldn't watch TV so I turned on some state basketball and some music and we had a dance party and played some games. Pat and Wanda came to town Saturday evening and we all enjoyed going out to Another Round (the County Club) for supper.

Sunday the kids and I went to church while Mike went to the hospital then we all meet up at Grandma Priest's for lunch. Sherry, Larry, Rita, and Auntie J were all in town and we enjoyed having lunch and spending the afternoon with them. We also got some more park time in at the park by Grandma's. What a blessing it is to be close to family and see the kids interact with their great aunts and uncles and spend time together.
