May 20 - May 26

Monday May 20th we took the girls to school then went to town and made gift bags for Jaxson's state golf team. We then dropped them off at their hotel before coming home and getting ready for house guests. The end of the year AR party was that afternoon. Becca was awarded Reader of the Year for her class and Rachel received her 400 point dog tag. Becca stayed after school and attended a cheer camp. I ran back to school at 6:30 to watch Becca's cheer performance and then we came home and the kids went to bed early. Mom, Nicky, Clay, Patsy, Ansley, and Kinley got to town around 9 and we enjoyed catching up before heading to bed.

Egging her teacher

Mr. Callahan and Mrs. Dewey (the librarian) are both leaving at the end of the school year.

Doing what she loves!
Tuesday was the girls last day of school and was going to be super full but with all the rain and cold weather they cancelled day 1 of state golf! So I took the girls to school the ran to the hospital to see Toran Demaree before going back to the school to pick up the girls. Rachel was so excited to find out that she has Mrs. Thompson next year and Becca had mixed emotions. Her best friend Bree will be in her class next year but they are going to have a new teacher, which she is not sure about. After picking the girls up we dropped them off at home with Ansley and Kinley and headed to town to eat at Godfather's. We had a great afternoon of food and drinks while it rained. We then came home and watched a movie before going to bed.

Wednesday we got up early and got dressed in our warm clothes to head to the golf course. Kinley stayed home with the kids. We had a great group of followers for state golf, Mom, Dad, Dan, Lana, Cindy, Patsy, Nicky, Clay, me, Sandi, and Katie! It was a good day just very cold to start. Jazson had a great day and ended up scoring 3rd on his team and helped his team to win the state title by 1 point over North Platte St. Pat's. This was West Holt's 3rd state title in a row. After pictures everyone headed home and Rachel even went with them. I then mowed before settling down to watch a movie with Mike and going to bed.

So cold for the end of May

Thursday we went to town and ran errands while the cleaners were her and we also had lunch in town. It rained most the day so we just did some laundry and cleaned up after the busy week and packed for the weekend ahead. Mike headed to Mullen to help with Aaron's branding on Friday and Pat's branding on Saturday. Due to all the rain Pat and Wanda's place is flooded so they were only able to have a small branding and even had to feed everyone in the pasture. Calf Creek which has been dry for so many years is flooding this year and causing all kinds of trouble for everyone up north. As of now Pat and Wanda are still in their house but the water is getting really high under their house and the yard is just a mushy mess.
Friday the kids and I headed to Atkinson for my High School reunion. We stopped in Stuart to see Patsy and helped her trim some bushes before heading to Katie's. Katie kept Alec and Becca while mom finished work. I went to the community center and helped set up table and decorate for the reunion. It was good to catch up with the class and we enjoyed some drinks at the Legion before heading down town to Dan's bar.
Saturday we got up and headed to O'Neill. Becca and I picked up Axel and Lexa while Mom and Alec picked up flowers and we headed back out to mom and dad. We enjoyed our afternoon with the kids and helping mom plant flowers and wash her truck. We then took Axel and Lexa home before heading to Atkinson to meet up with Nicky so Alec and Becca could help them put out flowers and spend the night. Mom and Dad were breeding cows so they couldn't keep the little ones. Mike came to town and got to the reunion in time to eat. We then enjoyed a night at the bar with my class and Nicky, Clay, and Katie. We even tried to be in high school again and went to an after party until 3 am!

Sunday we got up and had a good breakfast before Jaxson and I headed to church. We then got ready for the alumni golf tournament. Nicky and I golfed with Dan and Jonna while Mike golfed with Katie, Jaxson, and Dawson Dvorak. We had great time golfing before heading back to Nicky and Clay's to get the kids and pick up dinner and go to Mom and dad for supper.
