October 28 - November 3

Monday October 28th Mike took the kids to school then we decided to head to Kearney since Mike had the day off. We got on the interstate and it started to snow and was going to be worse in Kearney so we turned around and came back home. Mike then went to town and started cleaning out the lot and trailer on East E street. I stayed home and worked on the computer work. The kids rode the bus home and the we went to volleyball that night. The team won both sets and were so proud of all the hard work we have put into this season.

Tuesday I took the kids to school then Mike and I went to Kearney. Mike wanted to get a new rifle for deer season so we went to Cabela's, Target, Hyvee and then came back home. Rachel had Piano at 5:30 to make up from last week. I then took the kids to volleyball practice with me while Mike went to a meeting. Jennifer and Maci brought Alec and Becca home so they could go to bed as Becca was not feeling the best. Wednesday Becca was feeling better and was so excited for crazy hair day at school. I took the kids to school then came home and did some house work. For CCD we had an all saints day party. Each kids picked a saint and did a short paper on it. That day each kids told us who their Saint was and a few facts about them. That night we came home and carved pumpkins and ate chili for supper.

Thursday was Halloween and a very busy day! After taking the kids to school I came home and cleaned and did more laundry. I then had to be back at school at 2 to help with Alec's school party. We then went to the costume parade at 2:30 and then headed to town for some trick or treating. We had a few mix ups that night with friends and I ended up taking the kids by myself for most the night. We had fun but in the end got cold and hungry so we ended up at Kaisa's house for some food before coming home for bed.

Friday the kids didn't want to get up for school but finally did and we made it on time. I went to Walmart after dropping off kids and then went meet Marty and Lisa at church for All Saints Day. Lisa and I switched cars so they could take mine to an away football game. After school we came home and baked in the kitchen. The kids and I made pumpkin pie and cinnamon rolls. We then watched a movie and called it a night. Saturday Rachel and I went to Culbertson for a volleyball triangular. We ended up winning 5 sets and lost 3. The girls played hard and had a great time.We then headed home and hosted Pat, Wanda, Aaron, Nick, Melissa, Tucker, Kelcee, Hazel, Millete, Auntie J, and Grandma Priest for dinner to celebrate Pat and Wanda's anniversary. Mike had picked up a prime rib from the grocery store, we cooked it all day, only to cut into it that evening and find out the whole thing was rotten. Melissa and I ran to Walmart and grabbed new steaks and we finally had a full dinner to eat around 8 that evening. Who would have guessed a rib roast could be so rotten, yet not smell bad as it cooked!

He loves to bring me coffee because it smells so good.

Relaxing between games

Best Friends sleeping.
Sunday we had breakfast and then everyone went home. Dana then called and asked if I could come get Colten and Jax while she took Sammy to the ER. We had a good afternoon playing before I took them back to town when Sammy was released. We then played some basketball as a family and watched the new Lion King for our Sunday Night Movie!
Rocking Jax as he eats and sleeps!
