The Simonson's: October 7

Monday October 7th I took the kids to school then came home to do laundry and clean the house. I then ran to town and did some errands before coming home to meet the kids off the bus. We worked on homework after school and ate dinner before heading back to town at 7 for our first volleyball game. We ended up losing both sets but the girls had fun. Tuesday I took the kids to school then went to town for coffee with Capri and Sarah. I then came home and worked on draining the water heater on the camper and the rest of the water lines. I also did more laundry and cleaning. The kids rode the bus home and then Rachel and I went to practice at the D & N while Mike stayed home with the little ones. Mom and Dad came to stay with us after the kids were in bed as Dad had meetings in McCook the next couple of days.
Wednesday I took the kids to school then Mom, Dad, Pat, Wanda, Janice, Phyllis, and I all met in North Platte for breakfast at the diner. Everyone was going their own ways so I went to Lisa's and worked on shirts until it was time to meet Mike for lunch. I then came home and went for a walk before cleaning the camper. I then went to the school to pick up kids and going to CCD communion service. We then meet Mike, Pat, and Wanda at Pals for dinner. Thursday I took the kids to school then went to town to get my hair done. I ran to Walmart and picked up a few things for the weekend before meeting Traci for lunch. After school I picked up the kids and we took Rachel to Piano and ice cream! We then came home and had chili for supper. Friday the kids had school and I packed up the camper. I went to school at 1:15 to meet with Emma and then stayed until the kids got out of school. Becca, Alec, and I then headed to Stuart while Rachel had practice and Mike picked her up. The kids and I got to Stuart and got the camper set up just before dark. We watched Sage that night and enjoyed spending time with everyone at Grandma Kohle's house.

Becca was so excited to have Sage for a sleepover in the camper.

Saturday Mike and Rachel headed to Holdrege for a volleyball tournament and the little ones and I spent the day getting ready for Kelly and Lane's wedding. I got Sage ready and took him to the church for pictures. We enjoyed the wedding and the dance. Rachel did very well at her tournament and they ended up getting 4th which was so fun for the kids. Rachel ended up coming back to Hershey with Jensyn and Mike went to Nick's to spend the night. Sage ended up going home with one of Laura's friend so Laura could see him so we only had one night with him but we enjoyed every minute of it.

Sunday we got up and packed the camper for the trip home. Mike got back to town early and picked Rachel up so they could head out south. They checked cows, fixed some fence, and then shot guns before meeting us at home. Alec, Becca, and I went out and got rides in the combine with Dan and Uncle Jim before we came home. The kids had never been in a combine, which was such a big part of my childhood when my dad worked for CO. They enjoyed riding and picking beans. We then watched Kelly and Lane open gifts, helped clean up a little and headed home!
