Monday the kids and I were challenged by Katie and Jaidyn to do a 4 mile walk. The kids all started out riding bikes but then walked some with me, none of them made it the full 4 miles but Rachel came the closest. I then mowed the lawn before coming in and baking my first beef tenderloin. It turned out amazing and I think it was one of my top 5 meals I have ever made.

Thursday morning Mike and I had a meeting with a new financial guy in town. Then I ran to Walmart and got groceries before coming home. Mike ran to get a haircut and then was going to be home so I went to the school and helped Jen and Marie organize the area where all the HELP club stuff is kept. Since we didn't have a carnival this year we have all the prizes and found a bunch of stuff that just needed to be trashed. Thursday night we had popcorn and Mike and the kids watched a movie while I did a zoom call with the Kohle's.
Friday Bree came over to play for the day. Becca, Alec, Bree and I took Simba to the vet that morning. Katie then got off work early and Becca went to stay with Bree, Rachel had a birthday party to attend in town so we took her to Missy's house where they did a bike parade. Rachel was excited to see more of the kids in her class and I think Mrs. Thompson was excited to see her class again. While Rachel was at her party Jen and I took Alec and Delcey for ice cream and then to Cody Go-Carts. We had a blast on the go carts and then Alec and Delcey were big enough to do the bumper boats by themselves so they did that a couple times. There was only a few other people around so the people running the ride just let them have fun. I then brought Rachel and Alec home before going to PAL's to meet Traci and a couple more friends for drinks. It was a great night and a much needed night out for me.
Saturday we stayed home in the morning and I worked in the garden, and then Rachel had a make up Piano lesson at 1. After her lesson we picked up Becca and headed to North Platte to meet Dana and Colton for some ice cream at double dips before going to Auntie J's to help Colton celebrate his 7th birthday. The kids had a great time playing and getting candy from the pinata and I enjoyed some snuggles with Jaxson. We then came home and I mowed before Mike and I went back to town to pick up his new tractor that he bought at the auction.
Sunday Rachel got invited to go play at Sarah's house and then they decided to come back here and have a sleepover. Becca, Alec and I were pretty lazy most the day, they watch videos on their computers and I read the last of my 3 books in the Crazy Rich Asian series. It was pretty cold and then we got almost a half inch of rain overnight.
