The Feel of Spring

Yesterday we finally got a taste of Spring. The girls and I came back from Kearney after lunch and they could not wait to get outside. They both spent the majority of the afternoon outside. Becca got to feel the driveway and grass without shoes on. She did know what to think. All was good until she walked down the driveway and out into the rocks. She got stuck and was just standing there saying owweee! I don't think she is ready for no shoes just yet.
Let's go back and see how the week went! Monday we stayed home and worked on house stuff. Hanna came out and played in the afternoon while Kate got her hair done. It is so nice to have another family in town to trade kid watching with. We love having Hanna here to play and the girls played dress up and danced most of the time.
Tuesday we went and visited sweet baby Gabby Woodburn. Rachel and Becca both enjoyed playing with Mattix, Savannah, and Hanna. Rachel did hold baby Gabby just for a minute before we left. Becca crawled up on my lap as I was holding Gabby and touched her hands and said baby a lot. I can not wait for the girls to meet there brother! After a quick lunch at Runza Rachel had school and Becca and I went grocery shopping.
Wednesday the girls went and played at Troshynski's while I went to the Dr. Baby boy sounded good and I am still gaining weight and inches in my belly. All is good with baby #3! After the Dr I went back to the dentist as the temporary tooth they put on last Wednesday was loose already. They took out my stitches and put the tooth on a little tighter. Hopefully it will stay in place until the 20th went I get the final implant tooth put in.
Thursday we went to gymnastics and then to lunch at Gracie Mae's. We had quite the crew this week. The girls and I were joined by Kate, Hanna, Gwen, Cylinne, Michelle, and Laura. It was nice to not have to rush through lunch to get Rachel to school. Rachel was out of school on Thursday because the St. Pat's girls made it to state basketball. They lost in the first round to Hershey. Hershey went on to get 3rd place. After lunch we came home for naps and a relaxing afternoon.
Friday we got up and cleaned and packed clothes. The girls and I then went to Burwell to watch Jaxson wrestle. The girls did really well watching and playing. Jaxson lost all three matches but did get a medal. He was a little sad but had fun. Nicky and the kids then rode with us to Kearney. We were about to Kearney when Rachel asked me if we were on the right path to Kearney yet. It was kind of a long day in the car for the girls but they both did great. We got to Kearney played some cards with the kids and then put them to bed. Nicky, Cindy, Kent, and I stayed up for awhile then headed to bed.
Saturday morning we got up and enjoyed a nice breakfast. Cindy then volunteered to stay home with all the kids while Nicky and I shopped and went to lunch. I got most of the girls Easter stuff and a few other things for the house. That afternoon we just relaxed and watched State Basketball on TV. The kids all played really well and few tears were shed.
Sunday we got up and ate breakfast, then we just sat around the table and enjoyed visiting before packing up and heading back home. Pat and Wanda were here when we got home. They were on the way back from Wyoming and stopped in Ogallala for Sean's bb shoot. They stayed and played with the girls for a little while and then headed home. Aaron, Liza and the kids also stopped in on the way home. They had to come to North Platte to do some shopping. The girls were really tired and went to bed about 8 last night. Becca was really excited to see Mike and just wanted to lay on his shoulder when we got home.
We hope everyone has a great week and gets to enjoy some of the nice weather before it changes back to rain and snow. We still need the moisture so I will not complain, but I definitely am ready for the nice days that the girls can go out and play in.

We had a couple naughty moments this week with Becca. This picture is after she dumped out all 500 of Rachel's little pony tail holders.
Here she got into the pennies that I had on my desk. I guess they were not out of reach.
Rachel wanted to count her money then so I figured why not!
 Such a little stinker.
I went in the girls room the other day and found this. Rachel wrote both her and Becca's name. Don't mind the L after Rebecca. Rachel must have ran out of room for her name and figured she would just put the L at the top. She loves to write and do crafts. I am so proud of her!
