A Day Late

As the saying goes a day late and a dollar short. That is kind of how last week felt. We were on the go all week.
Monday I had to go to the hospital and register for the baby and I. It made things a little more real. I know that I have another human growing inside me but to think we only have 7 1/2 weeks left was a little scary. The poor third child. We don't have the nursery done yet, nor do I have any of the stuff washed up. I do have everything I need here at the house. I will get there or it will get done after he arrives, either way it will get done at some point.
While I was at the hospital the girls went to play with Hanna. After the hospital I picked up some lunch and we ate with Kate and Hanna then it was time to come home take naps and do laundry. Thank you Kate and Hanna for letting the girls play. They would not have enjoyed the hospital; it was a lot of paperwork and talking.
Tuesday was a school day. The weather was still not very nice so we just did a couple things around the house in the morning and then went to school. Becca fell asleep while we were taking Rachel to school so I went and visited a friend while Becca slept. Cathy took a personal day from school and we had a nice visit. I can't wait for summer so that we can play with Cathy and Bentley more. Wednesday I had my Dr's appointment. Everything is going good. The baby is still growing and moving around. The girls went to play at Michelle's house while I was at the Dr. The girls love playing with Cinder and spent most the time playing in Cinder's huge kennel. It was so funny to watch them play puppy and watch Cinder's reaction. After having lunch with Michelle the girls and I came home.
Thursday was gymnastics, followed by lunch at Gracie Mae's, Rachel has school and Becca fell asleep in the car. While Becca napped I enjoyed a nice visit with Gennilee at the park. After school Rachel wanted to go to the park so the girls and I went to the park by the hospital and Mike joined us after he was done with work. The girls had a blast and were really tired that night. I love nice days when the girls get fresh air. Bed time is so much more enjoyable.
Friday morning we cleaned and played. I had a LCMA meeting at 1 so the girls went and helped Lisa clean the Jazzercise building and then went to school and listened to Sam read a story to his class. They love all the adventures that Lisa takes them on. After my meeting I picked up the girls and we came home packed bags and headed to Alma. We enjoyed a nice supper with Nick, Melissa and Tucker. The girls really enjoyed playing with all of Tuckers toys.
Saturday morning we got ready and headed to Grand Island. We ate a nice lunch and then did a little shopping before going to the horse races. Kate, Justin, and Hanna joined us at the races. The girls had a great time. Rachel cheered for the pink horse. "It won one time, and lost a lot," according to Rachel. We then headed back to North Platte so Mike could attend a meeting. The girls and I joined some other friends over at Michelle's. It was so nice the kids got to run around the back yard and the rest of us enjoyed visiting on the patio.
Sunday we went to church and then to lunch. After lunch the girls and I went to Cody Park for some ice cream and to feed the animals. Lisa, Rebekah, and Sam joined us. The girls loved feeding the animals. Rachel had a bad cough and was not feeling very well so we came home. They both fell asleep on the way home and continued to take a 2 hour nap after that. I did get the closet cleaned out downstairs so that we have somewhere to put Rachel's clothes. Mike worked on the yard moving a couple sprinklers around.

Rachel being silly at the horse races.
Becca did not want to stand still for a picture. She really enjoyed running around and all the freedom at the races!
Becca watching the animals at Cody park.
 Rachel talking to the geese.
Rachel and Sam feeding the bull elk.
Becca even got to feed him. She called him a "Moose" but she loved it.
