May Is Here

    We did not make it back from Omaha until late on Sunday night so I just got up early and went and picked up the girls before school on Monday. Rachel was really excited to see me and even more excited when Mike picked her up from school that day. Becca just came and gave me a hug and started telling me about some of the things she learned while we were gone. After we took Rachel to school we went back to town and picked up Alec. He was really excited to see me but also wanted Michelle. I think he was a little confused. He was really excited to see Mike when he got home that after noon. He still gets sad when Mike leaves and even prefers Mike to me most the time.

    Mike had to go back to Lincoln Monday night for an interview for the College of Surgeons so it was just the kids and I trying to get back into a routine. Mike took Rachel to school on Tuesday and we stayed home and tried to get a start on Laundry. Wednesday Mike also took Rachel to school and I stayed home and finished up laundry. After school we grab a quick lunch at Arby's before heading to the mall for Cyline's birthday party.

   Thursday after school we picked up some lunch and went over to Michelle's and had lunch with her. She really misses Alec and we had to get the rest of the stuff from his stay that I couldn't fit in on Monday when I picked him up. Thursday night we enjoyed a meal as a family as Mike had meeting and was on call the other nights so was not able to join us for dinner.

   Friday the kids and I just stayed home and tried to get everything else caught up. It was so nice Friday afternoon that I decided to rip up my strawberry beds and replant them. Mike got home and started making my Mother's Day gift and we spent all evening outside.

    Saturday Roger had an appointment to get shaved at 9 so Mike took him in and then rounded before grabbing some stuff at Menard's and then came home to help us with the rest of our yard work. Roger was done with his appointment around 1 so Rachel and I ran to town to pick him up while the other 2 napped and we also picked up Rebekah to help with the kids so Mike and I could finish the flower bed out front.

    Sunday we went to church and then joined Liza, the kids, Wanda, and Grandma Priest for lunch at Ruby Tuesday's for Ashlyn's birthday. Rachel got to go to the mall with Ash while Wanda and Phyllis took Becca and Alec to Grandma Priest's and Mike and I went to Menard's. We then picked everyone up and came home and finished putting up the trellis and edged the new flower bed.

    It was such a nice weekend and everyone got some well needed fresh air. So far May is starting off well and we are getting really excited for Summer and pool time. Now I just hope that all my flowers live and that the first wind storm does not blow down the trellis.
