Blessed

Weekends like this remind me how lucky we are to have such amazing family and friends. So I have been doing a better job at keeping life simple during the week but man do we make up for it on the weekend. That is what summer is about, right? So he we are another week in the Simonson House!
Monday we stayed home in the morning and everyone was pretty lazy. I had a hair appointment at 1:30 so after lunch I dropped the kids off at Troshynski's and enjoyed my down time getting my hair done! After I was done with my hair Becca was still napping so I picked up Rachel and her, I and Mike went and picked out a new TV stand. We have wanted to move our TV upstairs to the corner for awhile but didn't have anything to put it on so we had to go shopping. We found the perfect tall corner stand that I don't have to worry about Alec pulling the TV off, for now! After shopping I picked up the kids grabbed some supper and it was home for supper, baths, and bed.
Tuesday we stayed home, I put some fertilizer on the garden in the morning and spent the rest of the day with the kids. Rachel and I did get the toy box cleaned out while the little ones napped and then neighbor Melissa, Pake, and Payne came over to help me rearrange furniture. It looks so much better now!
Wednesday I had an early morning dentist appointment. The kids went to Lisa's to play with Sam and Babs while I got my tooth hammered in again! We did get 1/2 inch of rain in a very strange mid morning storm. Thursday we again stayed home I did some laundry, mowed while the little ones slept and packed bags for all the kids.
Friday morning we got up and got ready and it was on the road we went. First we took Becca and Alec to meet Wanda in Thedford, then I took Rachel to Burwell to meet Mom. Jaxson rode with mom and it was a nice surprise for Rachel when we got there. I then came back to town, stopped in to visit Grandma Priest and then Mike and I enjoyed a nice, hot round of golf before we came home to get ready for a dinner party. That night we went to Rickett's house and enjoyed a nice dinner cooked by Bailey's restaurant. We enjoyed an evening boat ride and some great company with the Raatz's, Harm's, Burwick's and Rickett's. It was a great night.
Saturday we got up and Mike was in a golf tournament all weekend. I went to town and picked up our first Bountiful Basket. I then went and split half of it with Marty, had lunch at Gracie Mae's and then went and donated blood at the St. Pat's cheerleader blood drive before coming home for a nap. Saturday night I joined Michelle, Laura, Gennilee, Jenny Lantis, Carla Rickett, and Stacey out at Feather River's vineyard for an amazing evening. We enjoyed appetizers and supper out on the patio before loading up in wagon for a horse drawn ride through the vineyards at sunset. What a great night.
Sunday I got up and went to church and then Babs and I went to the ranch to pick up Becca and Alec. They were both excited to see me, but Alec spent most of the night cuddling with his daddy. I think he missed him the most! Thank you Wanda for keeping the little ones. I have talked to Rachel a couple times and I'm not sure she is going to want to come home. She has had a great time with Mom and Dad. She got to go fishing, swimming in the pond, she had riding in the tractor a couple time, and got to go to work with Grandma Julie. She will be gone until Wednesday when we meet her in Kearney.
