Everyone knows the riddle with the wolf, the sheep, and the bag of wheat right?!? That seems to be how some of my days go and I really think of it on bath nights when Mike is not home. The kids are all getting big enough that they can't really all fit in the bath together anymore so how do you get 3 kids in and out of the bath? If I put the girls in the shower while I give Alec a bath, what do I do with Alec while I get the girls out? He can't be in the bath, if I get him out of the bath he can open the door and get in the bathroom, if I leave him behind the locked gate he cries the whole time. So which option is it? If I give them all a bath together who gets in and out at what time is always a fun riddle. If I get Alec out and try to get him dressed then Becca will just hop out of the bath and run around dripping wet. If I get Becca out first then Alec is standing and trying to climb over the side the whole time while Becca is crying because she is cold because I can't wrap a towel around her fast enough and keep one hand on Alec so he doesn't smash his face on the edge of the tub. What is Rachel doing? She is usually trying to lay down and swim in the bath or dumping all my soap out in the shower because she loves bubbles. I know some day I will miss this but right now bath nights are my least favorite. Why can't we just have a car wash type system where you put your kids in dirty and they come out the other end clean, dresses, and have clipped fingernails?!? If it would wash, dry and put away their dirty clothes that would be an added bonus!
Okay done with that rant. Now how was our week? Monday the kids were still tired from the weekend and Becca and Alec both took long naps so I decided to attempt to mow and see how far I could get. I actually got it all done! Rachel stayed in and came and got me when Alec woke up and Becca came out and played in her house while I finished the last little bit of mowing. Tuesday we went to Walmart, why does this always make the weeks highlights? It is always an adventure. Tuesday did not let me down, Alec decided he was going to try to climb out of the cart, we had to get so many things I didn't have room for Becca in the basket so she was supposed to be hanging onto the side, at one point I ran over her foot and it was bleeding. Oh Walmart days how I love you! After Walmart we came home for naps and some quiet time for everyone! Alec was running a low grade temp but I never did really figure out why.
Wednesday we just stayed home and I tackled the job of taking apart and washing all the car seats! What a job, now they are clean and we are no longer going to eat in the car; yeah right! The girls had fun helping me wash the car seats and Alec got to play in his walker in the garage. Wednesday night we meet the Troshynski's at Dave's Place to celebrate Sam's birthday. We lucked out while we were there and the hail storm went across the west side of town so we did not get any damage! Thursday we stayed home and I organized the girls' closet while Becca and Alec napped.
Friday we had some friend out to play in the morning and then played outside in the evening before supper, baths, and bed. Saturday we meet up with Auntie J and some of her family, Sherry, Larry, and some of their family, and Grandma Priest at Cody Go-Carts. The kids all enjoyed the water slides and go-carts. We celebrated Larry's birthday with some pizza and ice cream cake. We then came home and the kids went to bed early as they were exhausted. Pat and Wanda came and stayed over.
Sunday we got up and had breakfast then got everyone ready to head to Cody Park for the Priest Family Reunion. It was a good day; the kids enjoyed another day outside with no naps! Sunday evening we came home I gave the kids quick baths to wash the dirt off and everyone was in bed early. Mike and I watched a movie and headed to bed early as well.

| This is what my house looks like most days if you just drop in unannounced. Alec loves to get into the drawers and take everything out. Mike likes to think that maybe we got robbed! |
