Christmas Came!

Christmas week came and went so here are the pictures to help us describe this week:   Monday was the first day of Christmas break so we did some cuddling in the chair. Alec was starting to feel better so we had a few more smiles that day and more independent playing. Babs came out in the afternoon so I could go to town and finish shopping. After dinner we gave the kids baths and got them into pajamas before heading to town to look at Christmas lights and then we took Rebekah home.
Silly kids rocking with mommy.
Tuesday Emma came out to play while her mom and dad went to a funeral. We had a lot of fun with Emma. Tuesday during naps Rachel and I wrapped presents for the Christmas and the weekend. After naps we went to town and picked up Christmas cookies from Stacy and delivered them Mike's office, Nana Dee's office, and then to neighbor Melissa's before coming home.

Wednesday we stayed home and played. After naps we gave everyone baths and got ready for church. We went to Christmas eve service with the Troshynski family and then went to their house for supper and presents. The kids all got too many things but each of them loved the gifts they got. Alec loves his punching bag, Becca her baby doll, and Rachel her art paint thing.

Thursday was finally Christmas. I really was not sure who was more excited for Christmas, me or the kids. I really did not sleep well and the kids actually slept in a little so I would say I may have been a little bit more excited. We opened gift on Christmas morning and then loaded up and headed to the ranch. Mike had to round at the hospital but we made it to the ranch for lunch. Aaron, Liza, Sean, and Ashlyn were at Grandma and Granddads when we got there. We had soup for lunch and the opened some presents and played cards before enjoying steaks and crab legs for supper.

Saturday we got up and had breakfast at the ranch before heading to Grandma Julie and Grandpa Bill's. The roads were kind of bad by the time we got to Atkinson but we did make it ahead of the snow so that was nice. One of mom's dreams has been to have all the grand kids around to take sledding some weekend. It just so happened that they had just enough snow on the ground and some ice the night before and the weather was perfect that we all got to enjoy an afternoon of sledding. We missed London and Brooklyn but all the rest of the kids enjoyed at least one ride on the sleds and mom was very excited to finally see it happen. Nicky and Clay did not get to see us sled but they did come out for supper and gifts after it got dark.

Saturday we went to Grandma Kohle's for Kohle Christmas. We were missing a few but overall we had a good turnout. It is always fun getting together with cousins and watching all the little ones play. We are very fortunate to still find time to get together. Their are not many people that know their cousins very well let alone have their kids grow up with their cousin's kids. What a great group.

Sunday we got up and went to Grandma Kohle's for breakfast before heading home and getting some things in order before the start of this week.
