Back To School Month

   At one point I thought that I sat down and wrote this blog, but apparently I was either dreaming it or I didn't save or publish it so here we go again. Back to school month is upon us and we are busy getting everything done and ready. Here is a summary of the last days of July.

   Monday we had swimming lessons in the morning then we stopped by to see baby Ashlynn and drop off some things to Michelle. We then picked up Bab's and came home. I went back to town to Walmart and Menards to get groceries and some stuff to stain the play set. Cathy and the kids came out for supper as Mike and Eric went to Kearney to golf. They also poured the concrete for the new shop. Alec was in love with all the trucks, I think Mike was a little too!

   Tuesday the girls had swimming lessons then we came right home as Michelle had a meeting and wanted us to watch Ashlynn. Becca and Alec are very good babysitters and did not leave her side the whole time. After Michelle picked up Ashlynn I mowed while the kids played then after bedtime I bleached and cleaned the play set.

    Wednesday we had lessons then went to lunch with Lisa, Babs, and Sam. Babs then came home and watched the kids while I stained the whole play set. After I got done and cleaned up we ran Babs to town then went to neighbor Melissa's to feed the bottle calf.

   Thursday was the last day of swimming lessons. Both girls passes and learned so much in their 2 weeks of lessons. We picked Hanna up for lesson's and Alec stayed to play with Dutch. Alec had a good time watching the girls swim and doing some swimming during lessons but he also has a great time playing trucks with Dutch. We then came home did some laundry, rearranged the girls room then went over and fed the bottle calf before come home for supper, baths, and bed.

     Friday we went to town for donuts and to drop off recycling. Then came home and did laundry and house work. We fed the baby calf both morning and night. Friday night I went out with friends while Mike and Babs stayed here with the kids as Mike was on call.

   Saturday we got up and went to Sutherland lake to play with the Brunz family and the True family. The kids had a great time. We stayed until lunch time then came home for naps before headed to the neighbors for their annual kids rodeo. The girls had so much fun doing some of the events and playing with new friends. Alec enjoyed his many horse rides. We came home and fed the calf and everyone went to bed great.

   Sunday we fed the calf then went to church. Babs meet us at church and then we took off for Kearney so Rachel could ride home with Nicky and spend the week with Grandma Julie and Grandpa Bill. Becca and Alec enjoyed playing with Aunt Patsy and Aunt Cindy while Babs and I did some shopping. We then came home dropped off Babs and went to bed.
