Oct 17-23
Monday I was feeling a little bit better but still not 100% so we just took it easy. The girls had school, Alec and I played and did some laundry. We had a big steak supper and everyone was in bed on time! Tuesday morning we went to school early so that we could go to the book fair. The kids each picked out a couple books for themselves; we also got some books for Hanna, Dutch, and Ashylnn. After the book fair we went to Walmart and came home. Wednesday the girls had school, we ran some errands in town and spent the rest of the day getting things done at home and getting ready for the weekend. Thursday Alec and I enjoyed coffee with Traci and the girls got out early for Parent Teacher Conferences. The neighbors Justin and Jase came over and watched the kids while I ran to conferences and Mike was working. Conferences went really well. Becca is doing great in class and is starting to read a little. She will probably start AR (the reading program) after Christmas. Rachel is doing very well again this year. Math is her strongest and most liked subject. She is getting so much better at Reading. She still struggles with minute reads but her teacher is not worried about them so we are just trying to do a little better on each one. She needs to work on writing complete thoughts and complete sentences on paper. We are going to start writing and mailing more letters to our family and friend to see if we can improve on this skill some outside of school.
