June 5-11
Monday Brad was finally here to start the deck. We had talked with Brad about building the deck last year but due to weather and some other factors he was not going to get it built until the end of September. Mike and I decided that it was not worth putting money into a deck and having it sit for the winter so we were supposed to be first on the list this year. Unfortunately we did not get everything ordered for us to be first, but we are finally getting the deck we have been waiting for. We are so excited for it to be finished and we are so close. Since Brad was here starting the deck we stayed home in case he had questions or needed any help. Rachel had softball practice that night and then we came home for bed.
Tuesday we had to take Charlotte in to get spayed and we also took the kittens in for their first shots. While we were in town we enjoyed breakfast at Dunkin Donuts and then stopped to pick up our things from Michelle's we left at the party and came home. Becca had a game that night and had another great night with good hits and great fielding. After the game we decided to go ride the rides at Cody Park. The kids love going here in the summer, but Rachel is sad because she has outgrown 2 of the rides and very soon 3.

| So many roses this year! |
Wednesday morning we went to the school library to get some books for Rachel and then ran to town to pick you Charlotte. We came home and did house work during the day. Then the girls both had games and Babs came to watch and to take them home as I joined some friends at the Miss Nebraska Pageant after the games. It was a great night and North Platte does a great job putting the pageant together.

Thursday we picked Mia up in the morning to come play with the kids while I got my hair done. After hair and errands I came home and then we dropped Rachel off at Elly's for the night and then took Mia back to town. We enjoyed playing and visiting with Traci and Mia before coming home and grilling hamburgers for supper. Friday we stayed home in the morning then went to Michelle's in the afternoon to swim with friends. We all had a great time and enjoyed being around the pool on such a hot day. Maci came over to watch the kids that evening while Mike and I went to the lake and had dinner with the Dugan's.
Saturday after sleeping in we went to town for the car show. The kids had a great time with all the activities on the bricks; we enjoyed some good BBQ and then took a quick stroll through the cars before coming home for naps. Wanda came out to visit that afternoon, I went to church, and then that night we went to Jorgenson's for their backyard swimming party. We enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors and the kids had a blast swimming, playing hide-n-seek in the dark, and listening to some music.

Sunday Mike golfed and I mowed the yard. Alec and Becca both went to play at Bree's house and had a great time. Alec gets sad because he doesn't get invited to many people's houses so he was super excited to get to go play with Becca at Bree's. Then ended up staying until after supper and came home and went to bed!
