June 15 - June 21

What a very busy week we had celebrating birthdays and First Communion. We appreciate everyone that came to town to make our days so special. Lots of pictures, lots of laughs, and a few tears.
Monday I went to town and ran errands, went to Hobby Lobby and Walmart to get supplies to make posters for the First Communion kids. After lunch Missy, Ella, Avery, Jen, Jensyn, and Delcey came out to play in the water and make signs. Missy ended up having to leave early but the girls stayed and everyone had a great time.
Tuesday I mowed and weeded the garden. I then planted some Kalarabi in the raised beds before coming inside to clean the house. Tuesday afternoon was very hot and windy so we just worked inside most the day. Mike checked pastures after work and Rachel had her final Piano lesson via Facetime we get to go back to in person next Tuesday. Wednesday I went for a run in the morning then worked on watering the yard most the day. Becca had ortho at 2:30 and then we went to Sutherland for mass and to practice for First Communion. We celebrated with ice cream and dinner at Snow White after practice. Mike, Rachel, and Alec stayed home and enjoyed leftovers and popcorn.

Thursday Alec turned 7! What a day we had. It was all about Alec, we started the day at dunkin donuts for breakfast. We then went to River's Edge to golf. This was the first time I golfed 9 holes with the kids and actually golfed the whole time. Rachel and Alec also got to golf all 9 holes, Becca could have but chose to walk and play more than golf. We then had lunch at River's Edge as Alec requested wings for his birthday. We then came home and made a 4 layer cake. Chocolate and white confetti. It was then time to start dinner which was grilled pork chops, mashed potatoes, and corn, and you had to mix the corn and potatoes! We had a great day, Mike got home early but Alec just wanted to watch TV so Mike and I ran out and checked pastures before making supper. That evening I did our weekly Zoom with the Kohle's and Alec got to get on and listen to everyone sing Happy Birthday!

She loved the book so much she couldn't put it down.

Waiting for everyone to get on the zoom call.

Friday I ran to town and picked up our Walmart pick up and then came home and got ready for the Raatz family to arrive. Becca spent the morning helping Robyn watch Pax and CiCi. She had so much fun and got to feed CiCi her bottle. Kate and Justin got her about 1 and we just spent the afternoon and evening letting the kids play and we visited out back. We had steaks for supper and enjoyed some bottle battles after we ate. The girls slept in the camper and tried to pull and all nighter. They all failed and fell asleep around 2.

Saturday was my birthday and also Dutch's. Mike and Justin went golfing at 9 then we took the boys to golf with them at 12. Kate and I then ran to walmart and got cookies for Sunday and we just relaxed the rest of the day. I made ribs on the grill and we enjoyed eating outside. Pat and Wanda joined us for the end of dinner and stayed to visit until bed time.

Marty golfed with the guys also

Sunday we got up early and Becca and I headed to the church. Mike brought Rachel and Alec later. Kate and Justin cleaned my house (they are really the best) and then headed home. Wanda, Aaron, Liza, and Ash also made it in time for church. Becca was so nervous to say her petitions in front of the whole church but did great. Marty, Lisa, and Sam sat with us at church as well. It was a great service and after some pictures we came back to our house for lunch. Mom, Dad, Sandi, Axel, and Lexa were here when we got home. Granddad, Sean, and Auntie J also came for lunch. We had a great time visiting, eating, and celebrating Becca and Father's Day!
