May 9 - May15

   Monday May 9th the kids had school and I subbed for 4K. After school we didn't have any activities so we enjoyed playing outside and grilling steaks. Tuesday I stayed home and worked on laundry after taking kids to school. Trisha was able to pick up kids so I was able to get lots done around the house. When the kids got home we ate a quick supper and got the littles ready for their spring sing. I could tell before I went to the concert that Jessie was getting closer to having the babies so I put one of our house camera's in the shop to watch her. When we got home she was still panting and no babies yet. That night I had a hard time staying asleep so each time I woke up I would check on the camera. At 11:30 I went down to check on Jessie and she had 1 girl puppy. That puppy would be Rose!

   Wednesday I was up again at 1:30 and checked on Jessie and baby #2 was born. It was a boy and would be named Jack. Jessie seemed to be done having puppies and both of the puppies were drinking well so I went back to bed. I then got up and took the kids to school and came home for a couple hours before going back to sub for KJ at noon. After school we came home and the kids were excited to see the puppies. That evening we had our church party at the rec center. After the party I was ready for bed after being up most the night before.

  Thursday I took the kids to school and stayed to sub for 6K. Rex came home after school with us and was so excited to see the puppies. They were so new and little I only let them each hold them for a little bit. Jessie was such a good mom and enjoyed going outside for just a few minutes each time the kids had the puppies.

   Friday I took the kids to school then went to the park to help set up for AR fun day. The kids enjoyed playing games in the park in the morning. I then went to Subway to get the kids lunch for the afternoon fun day. I enjoyed lunch with Alec and Becca and following them around for fun day. After school I came home to mow while the kids sat with the puppies. Jessie spent more time outside. That evening Rachel went to a dance in town and Sarah, Riley and Ella came to stay. They enjoyed a night in the camper!

   Saturday Becca, Alec, Wanda and I took off for Omaha to attend Nathan's college graduation from Creighton University. Rachel stayed home to watch the puppies while Mike was on call. When we got to Omaha we went to a rental house for Nathan's party and then the kids enjoyed swimming at the hotel and we ordered supper and ate in the lobby. Sunday Nick, Melissa, and the kids were going to the zoo so we joined them. Wanda had never been to the Omaha Zoo. It was a beautiful day. After the zoo we came home. We were all tired from the weekend and went to bed early. Mike was on call so he was not able to go and Rachel decided to stay home with him and enjoy the time with her friends before summer.
