May 28 - June 3

Hello to anyone that is checking this out after receiving our  Christmas Card. I am sorry this is so behind and my plan is to get caught up by December 31st so stick with me. Here is a little bit of what this blog is about. I started blogging in 2010 to have a way to share pictures and videos of Rachel with family that is not on Facebook. At the end of 2010 I found a company online that would take my blog posts and put them into a book form. I loved it. I vowed to start blogging more regularly and print a book each year. I also started to talk more about how things worked in our world. I hope to one day be able to show my grand-kids these books and let them have a little peek into our world as it was today. I love looking back at the books and reliving the days as the kids were growing. I have laughed and cried during my time sitting at the computer writing. So please stick with me as I work hard to play catch up!

 Monday May 28th was Memorial Day and Shawn and Michelle had a big memorial day party. The kids love going to their house and seeing friends and swimming. Rachel even got to enjoy a kayak ride again this year.

 Tuesday the girls started basketball camp so I spent most the day running them back and forth. Becca had camp from 8-10 and then Rachel had camp from 10-12. I also made a quick trip to town to run errands and Mike and I purchased our first rental house. Rachel was supposed to have a softball game in Grant but it got cancelled due to rain. I just got on the interstate at Hershey after dropping off Becca at practice so I just went to Sutherland and came back. We finished watching Becca practice and enjoyed coming home. Wednesday after camp we went to Michelle's for Ella Thompson's birthday party. The kids all had a great time swimming and playing with their friends. Elly came home with us after the birthday party and the kids had a great afternoon playing outside. Thursday the girls had their final day of camp and I spent the afternoon outside mowing and working in the garden. The kids cleaned the house while I was outside and then when Mike got home we moved the washer and dryer out to get ready to take out and put in new tile in the upstairs bathroom and laundry room.

  Friday we picked up Elly and then went to town and had lunch with Marty and Lisa. I then took the kids to the mall and Walmart. We came home that afternoon and worked more on the tile and Devan and Patsy came Friday evening to put in the new tile.

Elly is one of my kids most days. We love having her along on our adventures.

   Saturday we just worked on the bathroom and utility room all day. It was a big day but we got the bathroom floor completely done and a really good start on the laundry room. I ran in to church on Saturday night so I could get up and start painting Sunday morning.

  Sunday while Devan worked to finish the laundry room I painted the bathroom. After Devan finished and we got the doors hung and the bathroom vanity placed they took off and headed back home. I can't believe how much we got done in 3 days but man was I sore. Sunday evening I painted the laundry room while Mike and the kids watched a movie. I am so in love with my new rooms and so glad we spent the weekend completing this project.
