March 22 - 28

Monday March 22nd I took the kids to school then wen to town and got my hair and nails done. I then went to the nursing home and sat with Phyllis while Wanda and Janice ran some errands. Phyllis was in her last days and Wanda and Janice were much happier to leave if they know that someone would be around to sit with their mom. After school I picked up the kids and we came home for awhile before going to the D&N for Rachel's league championship game. Rachel's team won the league!

Tuesday the kids didn't have school due to an in-service day and I worked on mom and dad's bull sale mailing list most the day. I then worked out and cleaned the house, complete with polishing the kitchen and living room floors. Wednesday I took the kids to school then came home for a little bit. I then went back to school to meet with Emma before going to town to see Grandma Priest. After school we had CCD then came home and had leftovers. Grandma Priest gained her angel wings today!

Thursday Trisha took the kids to school while I stayed home and worked out and did laundry. I then called in our pig order to the butcher house in Yankton before going out sout to help flag the tanks on the Campbell section for the pipeline through NRCS. Alec and Becca rode the bus to Elly's as I was not done by the time school got out. Rachel had volleyball practice after school and then Alec had his first soccer practice in 2 years. To say he was excited was and understatement. He was so excited to be playing a sport again. Kathy gave Rachel a ride home after practice since I was in town with Alec.

Friday I took the kids to school and stayed to work for the Elementary Secretary. After school Rachel had Piano and then I went to Hershey to help decorate for the Daddy Daughter Dance. Rachel got 2 awards on Friday. 6K Class student of the month and K-6 Student of the month. Her teacher submitted this reference for her: "Rachel is an extremely responsible student. She is always staying on top of her work and is motivated to do a good job in the classroom. Rachel is a great leader and role model to her classmates. Rachel has improved in every subject this year, and is very eager to learn! Keep up the great work Rachel!"

Student of the Month

Saturday I worked out, cleaned the house and then transplanted my seedlings. They all were growing so much. I then dropped Alec off at Beckett's while I went to help set up for the dance. Rachel got sick the night before so she was not able to go to the daddy daughter dance and was super bummed. Becca had a great time with Mike and I enjoyed taking pictures of all the daddy's and daughters!

Sunday we went to church and then went to Hershey for the Easter Egg hunt at the park .After the egg hunt we all went to North Platte and had lunch at Grandma Priest's house with Dana, Sammy, Jaxson, Colton, Auntie J, Chad and Parker (Mike's cousins). Rachel was supposed to go to Kearney to play volleyball but since she was sick on Friday night and Saturday I didn't take her to volleyball.

25 - Did you ever need stitches? Had a hernia when I was 5 so had stitches for that and then I had a cyst on my wrist when I was 14 so had that removed and a couple stitches.
26 - Do you have and other good stories about being injured? When I was 13 I as in Kansas City with Cindy, Kent, Debbie, and Derric and we went to Worlds of Fun. Travis and I were running and I tripped and broke my front tooth off. At 16 a cow kicked a gate and broke both my front teeth off.
