August 19 - August 25

  Monday August 19th was the kids first day back to school. The first day that I had no one left at home with me. Alec was more than ready for his first day of Kindergarten and was so excited to go meet all his new friends. Hershey always does a half day on the first day so I dropped kids off and then went to coffee with friends and to Walmart before running back to school to pick the kids up. We then went to lunch with Lisa and Mike at Royal Wok. Bree came to eat with us as Katie had to work and then Jen dropped off Delcey and Jensyn while she had a meeting. That evening Mike stayed home with the kids while I went to town and watched my Goddaughter Kyan play softball. It was so good catching up with Bill and watching Kyan do what she loves. I do not get to see her near enough but love to see and hear all the great things she is doing!

   Tuesday was the kids first full day of school and Alec's first time riding the bus. He loved it but it is hard for him to sit still after a full day of school. I took the kids to school and then went back to Walmart to pick up some stuff I forgot on Monday. I then came home and worked in the yard and mowed. It was so nice to be able to do all my yard work without stopping to take a kids to preschool or pick them up. Elly came home with the kids on the bus and stayed to play until dinner time. Mike had a meeting so we just played outside and ate leftovers. The kids were all ready for bed by 7:30!

   Wednesday the kids had school and I stayed home in the morning and cleaned and did laundry. I went to town at lunch time and went for a walk with Stacy then ran out south and checked cows. I then picked the kids up from school and we came home and made zucchini bread and played outside. Thursday I took the kids to school then came home and canned spaghetti sauce, pickle spears, and banana peppers. Rachel did not have Piano so we just went for ice cream then stopped by Grandma Priest's to see Auntie J, Wanda, Dana and the kids. We then picked food up on our way home and the kids went to bed.

    Friday the kids had school and I took Roger to the vet to have his ears checked. They are finally getting better so we just put in one more dose of antibiotic. I then went to see Michelle and the girls before going to lunch with Babs. We enjoyed our lunch at Margarita's without any little ones. After school Rachel went home with Demi and Becca went home with Bree so Alec and I went to PAL's to meet Vince and Traci for a drink.

     Saturday the girls went to the Hershey Fall Fest parade with their friends and I had a baby shower to go to for Stacy so Alec went to the parade with Trisha. The kids all had a great time and we all meet back here at the house that afternoon. Rachel then stayed home with the kids while Mike and I went to Good Life on the Bricks for a fantasy NFL draft pick night. We had a great time with friends and Rachel did a great job watching and getting the kids to bed on time.

   Sunday we went to church and then had lunch with Mike, Lisa and Marty. After church we came home and cleaned weeds out of the raised beds and the sandbox. The kids were not very good in church so they had to clean the whole sandbox before they could go in the house. The night we had a girls and boys movie night. The girls watched Beaches (one of my favorite movies) while the boys watched one of the batman movies!
