December 23 - December 31

Monday December 21st the kids and I stayed home and unpacked and cleaned the house. I ran to town that afternoon to run some errands. I then came home and we played board games and worked on laundry. That night we all sat down and played Rachel's new favorite game Monopoly. Tuesday we stayed home in the morning then went to town at 2 to sing and for Rachel to play her piano Christmas songs at the nursing home with Auntie J. Rachel missed her Christmas recital due to us being out of town for Kohle Christmas so Auntie J invited her to come play for the residents. Rachel did very well for her first time. She got a little nervous and had to repeat a couple times but they all loved it. We then stayed and sang and gave Auntie J and Grandma Priest their Christmas presents.

After we delivered some cinnamon rolls to some friends we came home and picked up Mike and headed to Hershey for Christmas Eve mass. The Troshynski family joined us at church. Pat and Wanda then came out for dinner. We had crab legs and enjoyed visiting.
Wednesday was finally Christmas. Mike always says I am way more excited for Christmas morning than the kids, which may be true. It truly is one of my favorite days. Pat and Wanda came out and watched the kids open their gifts. One of their gifts this year was shirts I made for all of us for our vacation in January. The kids were so excited when they learned we were going to Jamaica and that the Raatz family would be meeting us there. We then went to town for lunch at Marty and Lisa's and came home for movie night. Mike was on call but was able to be with us for gifts in the morning and lunch at Marty and Lisa's.

Thursday the kids and I went to Kearney to the Big Apple to meet up with Tammy, Chris and Tierney. The kids had a great time playing and then we enjoyed lunch together before coming back home.

Friday we closed on our new rental house in town. Then we had planned to go to the ranch to celebrate Christmas, but there was a snow storm coming so we all decided to stay put. Mike worked a little that morning then was home for the afternoon. Rachel, Becca, and I went to town that evening to have dinner with Jen, Jensyn, and Delcey then attended the movie False Hopes at the Fox Theater. One of the actresses was from Hershey and was in town for Christmas and was at the show to answer questions. Becca got sick that night and was sick for the next 3 days.
Saturday Rachel stayed home with the little ones while Mike and I went to a birthday party for Colton at River's Edge. Sunday was snowy, windy, and icy so we spent the day at home playing and watching movies.  Monday Alec had to have blood work done; when he had his blood done for Kindergarten round-up he had a low White count so they wanted to wait 6 months and draw again. It was normal on Monday! Alec and I then went to lunch with Mike and Alec stayed at Lisa's for the afternoon to play.
Tuesday was New Year's Eve! We went to the children's museum with Weisen's, Klugs, Lisa and the boys. The kids all had a great time playing as we have not been to the museum in a really long time. We then had lunch at margarita's before coming home. That evening we took the kids to Jorgenson's for a kids New Year's party, while Mike and I joined, Trisha, Matt, Jennifer, Josh, and Andrea in Sutherland to listen to Josh Cox play for a New Year's Eve party. It was a lot of fun and the perfect way to end the year 2019!
