Here we are finally at the end of 2018. Getting this finished by the end of February 2019 did not seem possible when I sat down weeks ago and had 30 entries to write, but I stuck with it and will finish up the year!
Monday was Christmas Eve! We spent the day just hanging out at mom and dad's and taking our time getting ready for church. We all went to Christmas eve church with Patsy in Atkinson. Since Nicky and Clay were not home this year we didn't have to rush to get out of the bar. We took all the kids to the bar with us and planned to stay for a couple drinks, but the kids got hungry and the bar wouldn't make any more popcorn or anything for the kids so we ended up just having a drink and heading back to mom and dads. The kids were excited to open their new Harry Potter pajamas and see their ornaments!

Christmas Day we got up and saw on our camera's that Santa was at our house in the night. We helped get dinner ready and visited while everyone arrived at Mom and Dad's. After lunch we opened gifts and then packed up the camper and headed home. When we got home the kids opened Santa gifts and were excited to find our new electric piano. Marty, Lisa, Sam, and Babs came out and we played the saran wrap game and opened gifts. What a great Christmas we had!

Wednesday we stayed home all day and played with our new things and cleaned the house and unpacked the camper. We had a little snow and lots and lots of wind. That night after Mike got home from work we all watched the Mogli Movie. Thursday Johnna Gifford came out to watch the kids while I got my hair done and ran errands. The kids were so excited to see Johnna. She went back to nursing school and we have not seen her since August. That afternoon we went to the see Mary Poppins' Returns with Nana Dee and Kaylee and kids. We love our annual movie date with this family! Maci came over that evening to watch the kids while Mike and I went to town and had dinner and drinks with friends for Colten's birthday.
Friday was stayed home and cleaned and worked on laundry. Mike was on call so we couldn't head to the ranch until Sunday. Saturday I packed bags and meet Pat, Wanda, and Aaron in town so that they could take Alec to the ranch with them. Nick, Melissa and the kids also headed to the ranch on Saturday. Alec and Tucker were so excited to get to spend an extra day together. Rachel and Becca stayed home Saturday night while Mike and I ran over to Jeff and Melissa Dewey's for Melissa's surprise 50th birthday party. Sunday we headed to the ranch in the camper. It was super cold but we put the camper in the grainery and had a nice warm place to sleep.
Monday was New Year's Eve and we celebrated by having a nice dinner and opening gift with all the Simonson's. We always have such a great time at the ranch and the kids love spending time with all their cousins this time of year.

What a year we had. Lots of laughs, lots of tears, missing loved ones, and adding a few new. 2018 was a busy exciting year. Cheers!
