First Day of School greets us all with so much excitement and anticipation. Are the girls ready, will this be the year that the friends they have been waiting all summer to see are no longer the girls and boys they left last spring? Will they get along with their teachers and excel to their best selves? Will they find those special people that help guide them through the year?
Monday we were all up early to get to school and see everyone. Becca has Mrs. Johanson this year which is also the teacher Rachel had in 1st grade. We also have seen her over the summer a couple time. Rachel has Mrs. Duggan this year! I had never meet her nor do I know much about her but so far Rachel is doing amazing in her class. The girls got out at noon on the first day so they picked to go to Qudoba for lunch and Cold Stone for ice cream, then we came home, I mowed and that night I canned salsa and made Salmon for supper.

Tuesday the girls had their first bus ride of the school year. This year they are riding the bus home on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays. It is so nice to have the extra time at home each day to get things done. The bus drivers are so nice and bring them right to the front door so they can turn around in our circle drive and continue down Walker. While the girls were in school Alec and I went to Walmart and played outside. We then did some laundry and more canning.

Wednesday we took the girls to school then came home and canned salsa and chili base. We then got cleaned up and went to lunch at Tempura with the Dugan's and Mike. Katie picked up the girls even though they didn't have CCD but the girls wanted to go play. Mike picked them up on the way home and I made ribs for supper. Thursday we took the girls to school and then came home and did more canning. We went to town for lunch with Stacy. One of my back to school traditions is to get together with all my friends for lunch the first couple weeks of the school year as the end of summer is always so hectic for us with vacations and such.

Friday we took the girls to school then Alec had his open house at Preschool. He was not sure about going to a new school but so far he has loved everyday. After open house we came home then went to pick the girls up after school. Elly and Bree came over to play and Elly stayed the night.

Saturday the kids and I went to Hershey for Fall Fest parade and to the park for lunch. Aaron, Pat, and Wanda came out to help Mike put in his new car lift. One of the car mechanic shops in town closed and they were selling a lot of their equipment so Mike was able to get a really good deal on some stuff for the shop he has been wanting. I mowed that afternoon and then we had steaks for supper!
Sunday Rachel and I went to church while the little ones stayed home to play outside while Mike worked in the shop. Rachel then went to Demi's house for her birthday pool party. That night we watched a movie before getting the kids to bed.
