Monday Nicole had to work and Tyson and the kids had appointments and other activities so after breakfast Mike and I took the kids to the zoo. Rebekah, Sam, and John also joined us for the morning at the zoo. We all had a great time and love seeing all the animals. We ran out of time and it was getting really hot so we left and grabbed some ice cream on the way back to Tyson's. That evening the kids had a babysitter while we went out to a very nice dinner with the Pearsall's.

Tuesday we had breakfast with the Pearsall family before taking off for the surprise part of the trip. The kids knew we were going to Omaha but they had no clue where we were headed from there. We got out of Omaha around 12 and headed south to Kansas City. First stop was Lego Land. The kids were so excited and loved seeing all the things. We finished Lego Land with a 4D movie before heading to the Embassy to check in. We then meet up with my friend Lauren and her son Landry for Chick-fil-A for dinner and then to their favorite ice cream shop for dessert before heading back to the hotel so the kids could swim!

Wednesday we had breakfast and then headed to the Science Center. The kids still had no clue where we were headed but they had the best time in the Science Center because they thought that was what we were there to do. We played until lunch time and our room was ready! We then drove across town to eat lunch and then we finally made it to GREAT WOLF LODGE. The kids were so excited. We got checked in and changed and headed to the water park. We enjoyed swimming until supper time and then enjoyed dinner at the restaurant, picking out their new friends at the shop, and magic quest. Alec was exhausted so Mike took him back to the room for bed while Rachel, Becca, and I stayed to watch the great clock show. Rachel loved their taco's and also found out that she loves sour cream!

Thursday we had breakfast and then headed to the water park. We went back to the room for lunch and Mike did some shopping while we enjoyed relaxing and some magic quest. It was then back to the water park for the afternoon and evening. We had supper at the restaurant and then called it a day! We loved all their was to do at Great Wolf Lodge. We even got to meet some of the Wizard of Oz characters.

Friday Mike took the kids putt putt golfing while I packed up the rooms. We did a little more magic quest and then we headed back to Nebraska. Rachel was spending the next week with Mom and Dad so we stopped in Kearney to drop her off and ended up spending the night because there were bad storms in North Platte and Nicky, Clay, The Maas Family, and Patsy were all in Kearney for a golf tournament.

Saturday we had breakfast at Cindy's and then came home and worked on the yard. One of our apple trees blew over in the storm so we set it back up, I picked the garden, mowed the yard, pulled weeds and laid down mulch. I love taking summer vacations with the kids but there is always so much work to be done when we get back home. Sunday we went to Church and then to Cody Park. Becca went to Bentley's Brunz's birthday party at Cody Water Slides and Alec and enjoyed a quiet house before movie night and bed time.
