July 24 - 28

   Monday and Tuesday was full of golf. Becky and I enjoyed following the boys around while Sydney stayed at our house and watched the kids. Monday night we took Alec out to watch the scramble round. He as yet to figure out golfing and being quite but he is getting better. He also found out that watching golf is not as much fun as actually playing. Tuesday the kids went swimming at River's edge while the boys golfed. We sure did enjoy having the Estill's in town for a couple days.

  Wednesday we stayed home and got a bunch of laundry and house work done. I picked the garden and canned 3 jars of jalapeno peppers and 3 jars of banana peppers. Johnna came in the afternoon and watched the kids so I could run to town get do some shopping and run some errands.

  Thursday I got my hair and nails done so that I was ready for vacation. I spent the rest of Thursday packing and making sure everything was in order for us to be gone for 10 days. Friday Mike worked in the morning and the kids all went to Claire Shaffer's birthday party before we headed to Omaha. We spent the night with the Pearsall family so that they could take us to the airport on Saturday morning. The kids still had no clue what we were doing for vacation.
