September 25 - October 1

  Monday everyone was tired from the weekend but we made it to school after the rainy start. I stayed home all day and worked on house stuff and laundry. I made chili for supper and everyone was in bed early.

  Tuesday the kids all had school and I cleaned my office to make room for Patsy to stay the weekend during our backyard party. Wednesday we Michelle came out and we closed our 31 party from the week before. I mowed, weeded and trimmed the yard to get it ready for the weekend. Thursday the kids had school and I decorated out front and did some more house stuff to get ready for the party. 

These are the same trees we had at our wedding 10 years ago. As I set them up it brought back memories of decorating for that special event.

   Friday we took the girls to school and then we had a home visit from the preschool teachers. Alec is doing well in preschool. He needs to use a quieter voice but both his teachers love having him in class. He did get in trouble for kicking another boy and Mrs. Cox took him to see the principal Mr. Callahan. Alec learned that touching and kick was not a joke and Mr. Callahan told Alec if he came to the office again he would have to call us. At that point Alec started crying. Alec has been much better in school and has been coming home with 2 stickers every since. He is still working on a quiet voice but overall he is doing great. Bree came over to play after school and then Becca went home with her for awhile. That night Nick, Tucker, Kelcee, and Andy came to watch the game. Then Mom, Dad, Ansley, and Kinley came that night and Nicky, Clay, and Jaxson came after Jaxson's football game in Burwell.

  Saturday Rachel had her first volleyball game with lots of people watching. After the game we came home and due to cold and windy weather we held the backyard party in the new shop this year. It worked really well but was kind of a bummer that we didn't get to use the new deck. Amber, Travis, and the boys came from Omaha, so did Kristi and the kids, Sandi and Aaron came down Saturday and Cindy and Kent made the trip for this years party. I am always too busy to take pictures but we always have so much fun with all the neighbors and friends we have meet over the years. It was another great party that went late into the night. Sunday everyone went home after we cleaned up the shop and the yard. Pat and Wanda came out later in the afternoon and we enjoyed trying some of the new different beers until the girls go into an ice fight and Rachel split open Becca's lip. It was then time to go inside, take baths and watch a movie before bed.
