October 30 - November 5

Monday the kids had school and I went to visit Lisa and Grandma Priest. I came home and workout out before going to get Alec. I spent Monday afternoon cleaning and doing laundry. The kids came home after school worked on homework and played. Tuesday was Halloween! This is a much anticipated day in our house. Rachel  usually starts thinking and figuring out costume around March or April. She loves coming up with a theme and then finding cleaver ways to convince her brother and sister that is what they should be. This year she even went so far as looking up costumes for each of them on Amazon and showing them how cool they would look. Lucky for me this year she chose to be Poison Ivy (One of the DC super heroes) and Becca was then Harley Quinn. (Ansley was Harley Quinn last year so we were able to borrow that costume instead of buying another one). Then the tough part at first was convincing Alec. He wanted to be PJ mask but after she showed him Robin and how cool he would look in a mask Alec was sold. So this year we had Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn (complete with a mallet her dad made her) and Robin.
The kids all got to walk with their classes at the costume parade and then Alec and I joined Becca's class for her party. Tuesday night was so cold that we went to Linden Court to see Grandma Priest, then to Stacy and Lisa's, and Michelle's. The kids did go door to door around Michelle's house but it was really cold. We then ended the night at Vince and Traci's. Traci once again spoiled the kids with king size candy bars and activity books. We then called it a night and came home to put kids to bed. What a great Halloween we had.

Wednesday the kids all had school then after Alec got out of school we headed to Grant to watch Jaxson and the West Holt Huskies in a football semifinal playoff game. It was a beautiful day for a game compared to the day before. The huskies ended up losing at the buzzer when a kid from Grant caught a touchdown in the back of the end zone. The Huskies were heart broken but they played well Nicky and Clay were both at the game and we enjoyed spending time with them.
Jaxson was #40

Thursday the kids had school and I went to Walmart to get groceries for the weekend. Babs came out after school to watch the kid while Mike and I went to a wound care dinner.

Friday the kids had school and after Mike got off work and the kids were out of school we headed to Lincoln with Stacy and Colten. Johnna came to spend the weekend with the kids. They had so much fun and loved the time they got to spend with Johnna. We had a great time in Lincoln. We went out to dinner and the bars Friday night. Went to the game and tailgated on Saturday, then came home on Sunday. We enjoyed spending time with Kate, Justin, Stacy and getting to know Colten better.
