September 18 - 24

Monday the kids went to school and I went to Michelle's to plan our party for Wednesday. I then ran to Hobby Lobby before picking up Alec. We came home I did some cleaning and laundry and we played after school. Tuesday the kids didn't have school so we stayed home cleaned and put up fall decorations. I have never liked the space above my cupboards as I didn't know what to do with it, so this fall I decided to just get a bunch of stuff to put up there. I love how it turned out and my Christmas stuff even filled the space nicely. Now to figure out how to decorate it the rest of the year. Tuesday evening I had a hair appointment and decided to cut my hair short and I love it.

Put Alec to bed without a light. Went to check on him before I went to bed and he had the lantern in bed with him.

Wednesday I took the kids to school and then took Ricki (the kitten) in to get vet to get spayed. I then ran some errands and after picking up Alec we went to Michelle's to get ready for our backyard 31/scenty/jones and lake party. Jennifer Hampton brought the girls to town after CCD and I ran them to Lisa's so they could do homework and play until Mike got off work. Michelle and I had a good turnout for the party and we are looking forward to another one this spring. Everyone loved having all the vendors at one place.

Thursday I took the kids to school and came home to pack. We picked up the girls early and headed to Des Moines for the weekend. Mike golfed in a tournament with Justin on Friday and Saturday we took the kids to Adventureland. We got to Des Moines late Thursday night and the kids were so excited to see their friends again. Friday while the guys golfed Kate and I took the kids to the zoo, and McDonald's to play. We then had babysitters that night so we could go out to supper. Saturday we enjoyed the morning at Adverntureland. Rachel loved the roller coasters. The monster was a bit much but she did it with only a few tears. Becca and Hanna got to experience their first roller coaster as well. Alec did a smaller one and everyone had a great time. We went back to Kate and Justin's that afternoon and the kids played while we watched the football game and then we had cake and ice cream for Becca's birthday. Sunday we got up and had breakfast before heading home.
